676) Lands Lotts Tenements Hereditaments and Premises hereby Released and confirmed or meant mentioned or Intended so to be with their and every of their appurtenances In such manner and by such Apt Words and Descriptions as by the said Benedict Calvert his heirs or assigns or his or their Council learned in the law shall be reasonably devised or advised and required In Witness whereof the said parties to these presents have hereunto interchangeably sett their hands and seals the day and year first within written signed sealed and Delivered Bened.t Calvert Seal In the Presence of us Eliz.a Calvert Seal Lanc.t Jacques Seal Jn.o Brice Martha Rogers Mary Reed 17.th April ^1756^ Then came the within named Benedict Calvert and Elizabeth his wife before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and did acknowledge the within Instrument of writing to be their several Act and Deed for the Purposes within mentioned and that the Messuage Lands Lotts Tenements Hereditaments and Premises were the right and Estate of the within mentioned Lancelot Jacques according to the true Intent & meaning of the within Instrument of writing and Elizabeth the wife of the said Benedict being Examined by me apart from and out of the hearing of her said Husband did declare and acknowledge the within mentioned Messuage Lands Lotts Tenements Hereditaments and Premisses to be the Right and Estate of the said Lancelott Jacques his Heirs and assigns according to the true Intent and meaning thereof and that she executed the said writing and made this Acknowledgement of her own free will and Consent without any Compulsion or Threats from her said Husband or for fear of his Displeasure Jn.o Brice Received on the day and year first within written of and from the within mentioned Lancelot Jacques the sum of ten shillings Current money being in full the Consideration money therein mentioned to be by him paid to me Witness Jn.o Brice Bened.t Calvert April the 27.th 1756 Rece'd of M.r Lancelot Jacques six pounds thirteen shillings and ten pence sterling for his Lordships use (it being the alienation fine on the within mentioned Lands Griffiths Purchase Letchworth part of Coolspring mannor and part of Good Luck Excepted no alienation fine appearing by Patent to be due on those Lands (by virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his Lordships agent and Receiver General Rich.d Dorsey 15 sides Recorded 29.th April 1756 |
