       This Indenture made the seventeenth Day of April in the year of
x.d   our Lord seventeen hundred & fifty six Between the Honourable Benedict
       Calvert of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland Esquire
       and Elizabeth his wife of the one part and Lancellot Jacques of the
       same place Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said
       Benedict Calvert and Elizabeth his wife for and in Consideration of the
       sum of ten shillings current money of the Province aforesaid to
       them in ^hand^ paid by the said Lancellot Jacques at or before the sealing &
       Delivery of these presents the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged
       Have and each of them Hath Aliened Released Enfeoffed and Confirmed
       and by these Presents do and each of them doth Alien Release Enfeoff
       and Confirm unto the said Lancellot Jacques (in his Actual Possession
       now being by virtue of a Bargain and sale to him thereof made by the said
       Benedict Calvert bearing Date the day and next before the day of the
       Date of these presents for one whole year commencing from the day next
       before the day of the Date thereof and by force of the statute for
       transferring uses into Possession) his Heirs and Assigns All that Capital
       Messuage or Tenement and two Lotts of Land whereof or on part
       whereof the aforesaid Messuage or Tenement now stands and now or
       late in the Occupation of the said Benedict Calvert togeather with
       all Stables Barnes Coach Houses Chair Houses Granaries and
       other Edifices and Buildings Gardens Orchards and Appurtenances to the
       said Messuage belonging or in any wise appertaining or with the same
       usually occupied and enjoyed And also all those fifteen Lotts of Land
       called the Banquetting Hill Consisting of part of the Town pasture
       and a parcel of Land called Nicholsons Vineyard all which Messuage
       or Tenement and two Lotts of Land and fifteen Lotts of Land called
       the Banquetting hill consisting of part the Town pasture and a
       parcel of Land called Nicholsons Vineyard and other the Premisses
       are situate lying and being in the City of Annapolis aforesaid &
       Also all that Tract or parcell of Land situate lying and being in
       Ann Arundell County in the Province aforesaid commonly Called and
       known by the Name of Anglins Discovery containing sixty Acres of
       Land more or less and also all those several tracts or Parcells of
