650) On the Back of the foregoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Febry 19th 1756 Then received the sum of Three Thousand Pounds of Crop Tobacco Being the Consideration within Expressed P.r E.d Botiler Witnesses Jn.o Hawkins Jun.r Jn.o Stone Hawkins Maryland fs.t Be it Remembered that on the twentieth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand seven Hundred and fifty six Personally appeared Edward Botelar before me the subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and Acknowledged the within Deed as his Act and Deed and the part of a Tract of Land Called Buttington and Premisses to be the Property of Henry Trueman son to the within First Mentioned Henry Trueman an his heirs and Assigns for ever agreable to the Act of Assembly in such Cases made and Provided Acknowledged before John Brice February the 23.d 1756 Received of M.r Henry Trueman Ten pence three farthings sterling for his Lordships use (it being the Alienation fine on the Within mentioned forty four Acres of Land) by virtue of a Commission from Edward Lloyd Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General Rich.d Dorsey Fees to Ann Trueman Prince Georges County 10 sides Recorded February the 23.d 1756 This Indenture made this thirteenth day of February one thousand seven hundred and fifty Six Between Jeremiah Virgin of Frederick County in the Province of Maryland of the one part and George Darby of the said County and Province afs.d of the other part Witnesseth that the said Jeremiah Virgin for and in Consideration of the sum of Ten pound thirteen shillings and nine pence Current Money to him in hand paid or secured to be paid by the said |
