643 According to the truth and the Nature of the thing and the duty of his Function and all Other the duty of his said office legally duly and faithfully shall discharge according to Law and the true Intent and Meaning of the Act of Assembly in such Case made and Provided that then the Above Obligation to be Void and of none Effect or Use to be and Remain in full force and Virtue in Law Benj Tasker Jun.r Seal Signed Sealed and delivered in Presence of Benj.a Tasker seal Stead Lowe James Keith J Ross seal On the back of the foregoing Bond was thus Written to wit 23.d January 1756 Then Came Stead Lowe and James Keith before us Two of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and severally made oath that they saw the within bound Benjamin Tasker Jun.r Benjamin Tasker Sen.r and John Ross Execute the within Written Bond Jn.o Brice Geo Steuart 23.d January 1756 Your are hereby required immediately to Record in the Provincial Land Records the within Bond together with the above Written Endorsement To the Clerk of the Provincial Court Jn.o Brice 5 1/2 sides Recorded Janry 24.th 1756 Geo Steuart Maryland fs.t Ex.d Know all men by these Presents that We Benjamin Tasker Sen.r of the City of Annapolis Esq.r Benjamin Tasker Jun.r of the City of Annapolis Esq.r and John Ross of the same City Gentleman are held and firmly bound unto the Right Honourable Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Province of Maryland in the full and Just Sum of One Thousand Pounds Current Money to be paid to his said Lordship his heirs and Successors to which Payment well and truly to be made and done We bind Ourselves and Each of us Our and each of Our heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally for the whole and in the whole firmly by these Presents Sealed with Our Seals and dated this 17.th day of January Anno Domini 1756 The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above bound Benjamin Tasker Sen.r whilst he shall Continue in the Office of Commissary General shall at his own Proper Cost and Charge find a Supply of Good and Sufficient Record Books Necessary for the entering up all Matters and things relating to such Commissarys Office and shall duely and Carefully look after Preserve and Maintain all the Several Books of Record now being and remaining in the said Office as also those that from time to time shall be added thereto in such Manner as that when he shall be dismissed from (officiating) |
