642 they saw the within Bounden Benjamin Tasker jun.r Benjamin Tasker sen.r and John Ross execute the within Written Bond Jn.o Brice Geo Steuart 23.d January 1756 You are hereby required immediately to record in the Provincial Land Records the within Bond together with the above ^written^ Endorsment To the Clerk of the Provincial Court Jn.o Brice 7 sids Recorded 24.th Janry 1756 Geo Steuart Ex.d Maryland fs.t Know all men by these Presents that We Benjamin Tasker Jun.r of the City of Annapolis Esq.r Benjamin Tasker Sen.r of the City of Annapolis Esq.r and John Ross of the same City Gentleman are held and firmly bound unto the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of this Province of Maryland in the full and Just Sum of One Thousand Pounds Current Money of Maryland to be paid to the said Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary and his Successors to the which Payment well and truly to be made and done We and Every of us hereby bind Ourselves and Every of Us Our and Every of Our Heirs Executors and Administrators Jointly and Severally firmly by these Presents Sealed with Our Seals and Dated this 31.st day of December Anno Domini 1755 The Condition of the Above Obligation is such that if the above bound Benjamin Tasker Jun.r whilst he shall Continue in the Office of Deputy Secretary of Maryland shall at his own Proper Cost and Charge find a Supply of Good and Sufficient Record Books necessary for the entering up of all matters and things relating to the Chancery Office and shall or will make or Cause to be made and entered true legall and Perfect Records and Enteries according to the truth and the Nature of the Matter or thing requiring to be entered or Recorded and shall duly and Carefully look after Sustain Preserve Repair and Maintain all the Several Books Papers and Records now being and Remaining in the said Office as also all those that from time to time during his Continuance in the said Office shall be Added thereunto in such Manner as that in Case of Death or that he shall be Legally dismissed from Officiating longer in the said Office he the said Benjamin Tasker his Executors or Administrators shall surrender or deliver up or Cause to be Surrendered or delivered up to the next Person who shall succeed him in the said Secretarys Office all the Papers and Record Books which shall be by him added in like good Order and Repair with the Records and Entries faithfully legally and truely made up and entered during the time he hath Officiated in the said Secretarys Office without favour or Affection but (according) |
