636 This Indenture made the 26.th day of September in the Year of our Lord Exam.d One thousand seven Hundred and fifty five Between Benjamin Tasker of the City of Annapolis Esquire of the one part and John Raitt of the City of Aforesaid Merchant of the Other Part Witnesseth that Whereas the said Benjamin Tasker heretofore to Wit on the Twenty sixth day of March Anno Domini one Thousand seven hundred and Twenty three demised and to Farm Let into a Certain Edward Smith late of the City of Annapolis Sawyer deceased all that Lott of Ground in the City of Annapolis Numbered the Eighty Eighth Lott for and during the Term of seventy seven years Paying therefore yearly three Pounds Reserving to him the said Benjamin Tasker &c so much Ground out of the Lott as would be sufficient to build such a House as a Certain Prize house then belonging to M.rs Sarah Brice at one Corner of the said Lott next adjoining to the Carpenters Lott as may more fully and Clearly Appear from the said Lease upon Record And Whereas the said Lott of Ground by Several Alienations and Mutations of Possession has become the Property of the said John Raitt for and during so much of the aforesaid Term of seventy seven years as is yet to Come and unexpired And Whereas the said John Raitt hath this day Granted and Surrendered up unto the said Benjamin Tasker his Heirs and Assigns all the Estate Right Title Interest Claim and Demand Whatsoever of him the said John Raitt of in and to all the said Lott of Ground with the Appurtenances which he the said John Raitt is intituled to by Virtue of the said Recited Indenture of Lease or Otherwise howsoever Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Benjamin Tasker in Consideration of the said before Recited Surrender and in Consideration of the Yearly Rent herein after Reserved and also for Divers Other good Causes and Considerations him thereunto moveing Hath Demised Granted set and to Farm Letten and by these Presents doth Demise sett and to Farm lett unto the said John Raitt his Executors Administrators and Assigns all that Lott of Ground Numbered the Eighty Eighth Lott together with the Messuage Houses out Houses Gardens and Improvements to the same belonging (Except forty feet square of Ground to be laid off at the Corner of ^the^ said Lott next adjoining to a Lott of Ground called the Carpenters Lott) To have and to hold the said last mentioned demised Lott of Ground and Premisses and every part thereof (Except as is before Excepted) with the Appurtenances unto the said John Raitt his Executors Administrators and Assigns for and during and unto the full End and Term of Ninty Nine Years thence Next Ensuing and fully to be Compleat and Ended Yielding and Paying therefore yearly and (Every) |
