634 On the back of the foregoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t Received the day and Year within Written of the within named Edward Gaither the Sum of Five Shillings in full for the Consideration within Mentioned We say Rec.d by us John Hammond son of Thomas John Ann Hammond Nov.r 12.th 1755 Came Before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Magistrates the within Named John Hammond and Anne his Wife and Acknowledged the Within Instrument and the Land and Premisses therein Contained to be the Right of the within Named Edward Gaither his heirs and Assigns forever 5 1/2 sides Recorded Nov.r 12.th 1755 Geo Steuart Maryland fs.t This Indenture made this Thirteenth day of December Exam.d in the Year of our Lord God seventeen and fifty five Between Samuel Davis son of John of Ann Arundell County Planter of the one Part and Thomas Davis of the County aforesaid Planter of the Other Part Witnesseth that the said Samuel Davis son of John for and in Consideration of the sum of Forty Pounds Current money of Maryland to him in hand paid at or before the Ensealing & Delivery of these Presents by the said Thomas Davis the Receipt whereof he the said Samuel Davis son of John doth hereby Acknowledge and himself therewith fully Satisfyed and paid and thereof and of every part and Parcell thereof doth Clearly Acquitt Exonerate and Discharge the said Thomas Davis his Heirs Executors and Administrators forever Hath Given Granted Bargained sold Aliened and Confirmed and by these Presents doth ^fully^ Clearly and absolutely Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien and Confirm unto the said Thomas Davis his Heirs and Assigns a Tract of Land called Charles and Johns Choice lying in Frederick County near Senica Beginning at the end of the fifth line of the Originall and Running thence North Twenty two degrees West seventy two Perches North Fifteen degrees West eighty one Perches North twelve degrees East forty four Perches North thirty three degrees West eighty five Perches North Eighty one degrees West sixty Perches South twenty eight degrees West sixty Per.s South Eighty one degrees West one Hundred and forty four Perches South thirty three degrees West seventy eight Perches South eleven degrees East sixty six Perches South fifty one degrees East eighty one Perches North sixty degrees East Ninty one Perches South thirty five degrees East seventy four Perches South Seventy eight degrees East Twenty four Perches North fifty five degrees East eighty eight Perches North fifty Nine degrees East forty nine Perches south Twenty two and a half degrees West seventy two Perches South fifty degrees East fifty four Perches South Twenty degrees East forty Perches North forty five degrees East sixty Eight Perches then by a Straight line to the Beginning Containing four Hundred and Eight (Acres) |
