581) Signed Sealed and Delivered Thomas Standage Seal in presence of us her Margaret M Standage Seal Mark M Macnemara G Scott Recorded May 28.th 1755 4 1/2 Ex.d Maryland to wit This Indenture tripartite made this twelfth day of May in the Year of Our Lord Seventeen hundred fifty and five Between Thomas Standage of Prince Georges County in the ^Province^ af.d Planter and Margaret his Wife of the one part and George Luxford of Annarundel County in the Province af.d of the Second part and William Tippet of S.t Marys County in the Province af.d Planter of the third part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the sum of twelve thousand pounds of Crop Tobacco to the said Thomas Standage and Margaret his Wife in hand paid by the said William Tippet at or before the Sealing and Delivery hereof the Receipt whereof they do hereby acknowledge and thereof do acquit release and discharge the said William Tippet his heirs Executors and Administrators the said Sum of Twelve thousand pounds of Crop Tobacco being in full for the absolute Purchase of the said Lands Tenements Hereditaments herein after mentioned and for and in Consideration of the sum of Five Shillings Current Money of Maryland to the said George Luxford in hand paid at or before the Sealing and Delivery hereof the Receipt whereof the said Thomas Standage and Margaret his Wife and George Luxford doth hereby Acknowledge and Confess and for the docking and Baring cutting off and Extinguishing all Estates Tail and all Revertions and Remainders therein Expectant or depending of and in the Lands and Tenements herein after mentioned They the Said Thomas Standage and Margaret his Wife have granted Bargained Sold aliened released and confirmed And by these presents do grant Bargain sell alien release and confirm unto the said George Luxford (in the Actual Possession of the Land Tenements and Hereditaments herein after mentioned now being by Virtue of a Bargain and Sale thereof to him made for the Consideration of Five Shillings by Indenture bearing date the tenth Day of May Seventeen hundred Fifty and Five for the Term of one Year Next following commencing from the Day last mentioned and by Force of the Statute for Transferring Uses into possession) and to his heirs all that Tract or parcell of plantable Land Scituate lying and being in S.t Marys County being part of a Tract (Called) |
