577) Repair and Maintain all the Several Books papers and Records Now being and remaining in the said office, as also all those that from time to time during his Continuance in the said office shall be added thereunto in such manner as that in Case of Death or that he shall be legally dismissed from Officiating longer in the said office he the said George Steuart his Executors or Administrators Shall Surrender or deliver up or Cause to be surrendered or Delivered up to the Next Person who shall succeed him in the said Secretarys office all the Papers and Record Books now being in the said Provincial office in Good order and repair as also all such other papers and Record Books which shall be by him added in like good order and repair with the Records and Entries faithfully legally and truly made up and Entred during the Time he hath officiated in the said Secretarys Office without favour or affection but according to the truth the Nature of the thing and the duty of his office and all other the Duties of his said office legally duly and faithfully Shall discharge according to Law and the True Intent and meaning of the Act of assembly in such Cases made and provided that then the above Obligation to be Void and of none Effect or Else to be and remain in full Force and Virtue in Law Signed Sealed & Delivered in the presence of Geo Steuart Seal William Steuart James Tilghman seal Ja.s Barrance Hen Rozier Seal On the Back of the aforegoing Bond was thus Endorsed Viz.t 27.th May 1755 Then Came William Steuart and James Barrance before Us two of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and severally made Oath that they saw the within Bounden George Steuart Esq.r James Tilghman Esq.r and M.r Henry Rozier Execute the within Written Bond Sworn before J Hepburn Rich.d Lloyd May 27.th 1755 You are hereby required Immediately to Record in the Provincial Land Records the within Bond together with the above Written Endorsment to the Clerk of the Provincial Court J Hepburn 6 sides Recorded 27.th May 1755 Rich.d Lloyd |
