       On the Back of the aforegoing Bond Was
       thus Endorsed Viz.t
       27 May 1755        Then Came William Steuart and James Barrance
       before us two of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and
       Severally made Oath that they saw the within bounden George Steuart
       Esquire James Tilghman Esquire and M.r Henry Rosier Execute the
       within Written Bond                                                J Hepburn
                                                                                     Rich.d Lloyd

       May 27.th 1755
                               You are hereby required Immediately to Record in the
       Provincial Land records the within Bond together with the above
       Written Endorsment

Maryland fs.t   Know all Men by these Presents that We George Steuart
Ex.d of the City of Annapolis Esquire James Tilghman of Queen Anns County
       Esquire and M.r Henry Rosier of Prince Georges County are held and
       firmly bound unto the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary of
       this Province of Maryland in the full and just Sum of Three thousand
       Pounds Current Money of Maryland to be paid to the said Right
       Honourable the Lord Proprietary and his Successors to the which
       Payment well and truly to be made and done We and Every of us
       hereby bind our selves and Every of Us Our and Every of our Heirs
       Executors and Administrators jointly and severally firmly by
       these presents Sealed with our Seals and dated this 27.th Day
       of May Anno Dom 1755

          The Condition of the above Obligation is such that if the above
       Bounded George Steuart whilst he shall continue in the office of Deputy
       Secretary of Maryland Shall at his own proper Cost and Charge
       find a Supply of Good and Sufficient Record Books Necessary for
       the Entring up of all Matters and Things relating to the Provincial
       office and Shall and will keep or Cause to be kept true legal
       and perfect Records and Entrys according to the Truth the
       Nature of the Matter or Thing requiring to be Entred or recorded
       and Shall duly and Carefully look after Sustain Preserve
                                                                                        (Repair)
