543) Sworn on Holy Evangelist of Almighty God deposeth and saith that they Saw the within Named James Johnson party to the within indenture Sign Seal and Deliver the same as his Act and Deed for the uses therein mentioned on the Day of the date thereof and that the also saw Charlton Palmer the other Subscribing Witness Sign his Names as Witness to the within Indenture Geo Steuart 2 1/2 Recorded April 16.th 1755 Ex.d This Indenture made the fourth day of April Anno Dom One thousand Seven hundred and fifty four Between Philemon Dorsey and Elizabeth Ridgely both of Ann Arundell County in the Province of Maryland of the one part and William Ridgley of the af.d County and province of the other part Witnesseth that the said Philemon Dorsey and Eliz.th Ridgley for and in Consideration of the sum of Fifteen pounds Sterling to them the said Philemon Dorsey and Elizabeth Ridgley in hand paid by the said William Ridgley the Receipt whereof they the said Philemon Dorsey and Eliz.th Ridgley do hereby acknowledge and thereof and therefrom and from Every part and parcell thereof do fully Clearly and Absolutely acquit Exonerate and Discharge the said William Ridgley his Heirs Executors Administrators and Every of them for Ever have Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these presents do fully Clearly and Absolutely Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoffe and Confirm unto the said William Ridgley his Heirs and Assigns for Ever all Such part or parcell of Land Scituate and lying in Frederick County being a part of a Tract of Land called Licence Butted and Bounded as hereafter Expressed Beginning at a four Notched Spanish Oak being one of the Bounders of the whole Tract called Licence Standing on the South Side of Swan Harbour Bra^n^ch and Running thence South Eighty one Degrees West Eighty perches South Sixty two Degrees West One hundred and Seventy Six Perches South Ninety two Perches East Sixty Six Perches South fifty five Degrees East forty Six perches North Forty five Degrees East forty six perches South Sixty six perches East twenty Perches South Eighty Six Degrees East twenty Eight perches North Eighty two Degrees East twenty perches to Intersect the fifth (Course) |
