514) mentioned Intended so to be with the Appurtenances unto her the said Catherine ^Jennings^ her heirs and Assigns to the only Proper use and behoof of her the said Catherine Jennings her heirs and Assigns for ever and to or for no other use Intent or Purpose Whatsoever And the said Thomas Codrick for himself and his heirs the hereby bargained and sold Premisses with the Appurtenances unto the said Catherine Jennings and her heirs against him the said Thomas Codrick and his heirs and against all other Persons whatsoever shall and will Warrant and for ever Defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the said Parties to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and year above Written Thomas Codrick seal Signed Sealed and Delivered In the Presence of us C Jenings seal Th.s Jn.o Hammond S Bordley Jun.r On the back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received the day and year within written of and from the within named Catherine Jennings the Sum of Eight Pounds ten shillings Current Money being in full for the Consideration Money within mentioned to be by her paid to me £ 8 10 0 Witness Th.s Jn.o Hammond Thomas Codrick S Bordley Jun.r 14.th December 1754 Then came before me the Subscriber One of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court the within named Thomas Codrick and Acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses therein Bargained and sold to be the Right and Estate of the within named Catherine Jennings and her heirs according to the true Intent and meaning of the said Deed Jn.o Brice 6 Recorded February 1.st 1755 Ex.d Maryland fs.t This Indenture made the first day of February in the year of our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and fifty five Between Hutcheson Parker of Calvert County in the Province afd Gentleman & Alethea Parker his Wife Sister to John Smith of S.t Leonards in the County afd Gent.l late deceased of the one part and John Gray of the Clifts in the same County Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that they the said Hutcheson Parker and Alethea Parker his Wife as afd for and in Consideration of the Sum of three hundred Pounds Sterling Money of Great Brittain to them the said Hutcheson and Alethea in hand paid by the said John Gray before the ensealing and delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof they the said Hutcheson & Alethea do Acknowledge and themselves therewith to be fully satisfyed Contented and paid and thereof and from every Penny thereof for themselves their and either of their Heirs Executors and Administrators for ever Acquit Exonerate and Discharge the John Gray his heirs Executors Administrators or Assigns by these Presents Have granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents as much as in them the said Hutcheson Parker & Alethea Parker lieth Do give grant Bargain Sell Aliene Enfeoffe and Confirm to him the said John Gray his heirs and Assigns for ^Ever^ all their the said Hutcheson Parker and Alethea Parkers Estate right Title Interest use Property Claim or Demand whatsoever they the said Hutcheson Parker and Alethea ^Parker^ his Wife as afd now have before mentioned John Smith of S.t Leonards deceased as afd Lying into Calvert County afd whereof the said John Smith was Possessed of at the time of his Death or Lawfully might dispose of by what names soever the said Lands may be called or known and Quantity more or less |
