513) Shillings lawfull Money of Great Britain to him in hand by the said Ezekiel Gillis the Receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath Bargained and Sold and by these Presents Doth Bargain and Sell unto the said Ezekiel Gillis All that Tract or parcell of Plantable Land Containing six Hundred & fifty six Acres in Annarundell County called Youngs Inn together with One Messuage One Barn One Stable three Tobacco Houses with the Appurtenances To Have and to hold the said Land with all other Premisses together with their Appurtenances unto the said Ezekiel Gillis his Executors Administrators or Assignes from the Day next before the Day of the Date of this Presents for & during and unto the full end and Term of One Whole Year from thence next Ensueing and fully to be compleat & Ended to the Intent and Purpose that the said Ezekiel Gillis may be the better Enabled to receive and take a Grant or Release of the Hereby Bargained Land and Premes with the Appurtenances for and during the Natural Life of him the said Ezekiel Gillis in such Sort Manner and form as in and by one Indenture intended to bear Date the next Day after the Date of these Presents the same shall be granted and Conveyed In Witness whereof the said Richard Young hath to these Presents set his hand and seal the day and Year first above written Sealed & deliverd in the Presence of R.d Young Seal D Dulany On the Back of the aforegoing Lease Walt.r Dulany was thus endorsed Viz.t October 1744 Received of Ezekiel Gillis the Sum of five Shillings Sterling Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned P me 3 recorded January 31.st 1755 Ex.d This Indenture made the fourteenth day of December in the year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty four Between Thomas Codrick late of Philadelphia Mariner of the ^one^ part and Catherine Jennings of the City of Annapolis Widow of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Codrick for and in Consideration of the Sum of Eight Pounds ten shillings Current Money of Maryland by the said Catherine Jennings to him in hand paid at or before the sealing and delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and therefrom and of and from every part and Parcell thereof doth hereby release Acquit and Discharge the said Catherine Jennings her heirs and Assigns Hath Granted Bargained Sold aliened enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto her the said Catherine Jenings her heirs and Assigns All that One Acre of Land lying Just without the City of Annapolis afd and Included in the following meets and Bounds Beginning at a Locust stake driven deep Standing near the Gate house on the North Side of the main Road Runing thence North Seven and an half Degrees West ten Perches then begining again at the said Locust Stake and runing thence South Eighty two and an half Degrees West Sixteen Perches and thence North Seven and an half Degrees West till it Intersect a Right Angular Line from the end of the first Line together with all Ways Waters Water Courses Commodities Improvements Profits Priviledges Advantages and Appurtenances Whatsoever to the afd One Acre of Land hereby bargained and sold or Meant Mentioned or Intended so to be belonging or in any wise Appurtaining and the Revertion and Revertions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Proffits of the said Premisses with the Appurtenances And all the Estate Right Title Interest Use trust Property Claim and demand whatsoever of him the said Thomas Codrick of into or out of the said Premisses or any part thereof To have and to hold the afd One Acre of Land and Premisses hereby Bargained and Sold or meant (mentioned) |
