498) Part of Joseph Alvey and Anne his Wife at the end of the East one Degree North ninety five Perches Line of the Part laid out for Clement Stratford and running thence East one Degree North ninety five Perches thence North sixty eight Perches thence West one Degree South ninety five Perches thence South Sixty eight Perches to the Place of beginning for the said Part containing Forty Acres of Land more or less with the Appurtenances to the said three fourths belonging To have and to hold the said three fourths of the Tract of Land aforesaid and Premisses with the Appurtenances unto him the said Gilbert Ireland his Heirs and Executors and Administrators from the Day next before the Day of the Date of these Presents for and during and unto the full End and Term of one whole Year thence next ensuing and fully to be compleat and ended to the Intent and Purpose that the said Gilbert Ireland may be in the actual Possession of the hereby bargained and sold Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances and may hereby and by Force and Virtue of the Statute for transferring Uses into Possession be enabled to take a Grant and Release of the Reversion and Inheritance of the said three fourth Parts of the Tract of Land aforesaid hereby bargained and sold or intended so to be to him and his Heirs to and for such Uses Intents and Purposes as shall be therein and thereby expressed and declared In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands and Seals the Day and Year first above written Signed Sealed and Delivered Joseph Alvey Seal by all the Parties except Cap.t Ireland her in the Presence of us Anne C Alvey Seal Philip Key Mark Thom Bond Uriah Bradshaw seal her Elizabeth + Bradshaw Seal Mark Clement Stratford Seal 6 sides Recorded Oct.r 18.th 1754 Ex.d This Indenture made the Twelfth Day of October in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred and fifty four Between Joseph Alvey of Saint Marys County Planter and Anne his Wife Uriah Bradshaw of the same County Planter and Elizabeth his Wife and Clement Stratford of the same County Planter of the one Part and Gilbert Ireland of the same County Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Joseph and Anne his Wife Uriah and Elizabeth his Wife and Clement Stratford for and in Consideration of the Sum of Ten Shillings Current Money to them in Hand paid at or before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents and for the further Consideration of the Sums of Seventeen Pounds sixteen Shillings Sterling and Five thousand four hundred and fifty Pounds of Crop Tobacco to him the said Joseph Alvey paid or secured to be paid the Receipt of which aforesaid several Sums of Money and Tobacco is hereby acknowledged and the said Gilbert Ireland his Executors and Administrators thereof and therefrom and of and from every Part and Parcel thereof by these Presents fully acquitted and discharged and also for the Docking Barring and Extinguishing all Estates Taile Reversions or Remainders expectant or depending of and upon the Lands and Tenements (herein) |
