470) hereby bargained or sold or mentioned or intended to be hereby bargained and sold unto the said Josias Adams his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the Day next before the Day of these Presents for and during and unto the full end and Term of one whole Year from thence next ensuing and fully to be compleat and ended to the Intent and Purpose that the said Josias Adams may be the better enabled to receive and take a Grant or Release of the Premisses hereby bargained and sold or mentioned or intended to be bargained and sold to him and his Assigns hereby in such Manner and Form as in and by one Indenture intended to bear Date the Day next after the Day of the Date hereof the same shall be dated released and conveyed In Witness whereof the said Richard Wade hath hereunto set his hand and Seal this Twenty first Day of May in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and fifty four Richard Wade Seal Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of J Darnall At the Foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t Acknowledged in common Form according to Law before me J Darnall 21.st May 1754 Recorded May 29.th 1754 4 sides Ex.d I do hereby certify that George Luxford one of the Clerks of the Commissary General's Office appeared before me the Subscriber and took the Oath of Under Clerk of the said Office according to the Directions of an Act of Assembly entituled An Act for amending the Staple of Tobacco for preventing Frauds in his Majesty's Customs and for Limitation of Officers Fees in the following Words Viz.t Ye George Luxford do swear that you will not for Lucre or Malice delay any Person or Persons applying to you for any Business belonging to the Office you officiate in and that you will not directly or indirectly ask demand take or receive from or charge to any such Person or Persons to your own use (except your Salary from your Principal) any Fee or Reward whatsoever for any Service you shall do as Clerk of the said Office and also that in making out the Office Fees you will not wittingly or willingly charge other or higher Fees than limitted by the Act intituled An Act for amending the Staple of Tobacco for preventing Frauds in his Majestys Customs and for the Limitation of Officers Fees Sworn to the 30.th March 1754 before Jn.o Brice 2 sides Recorded May 29.th 1754 Ex.d I do hereby certify that William Webb one of the Clerks of the Commissary General's Office appeared before me the Subscriber and took the Oath of Under Clerk of the said Office according to the Directions of an Act of (Assembly) |
