458) that if the said Thomas Hodgkin his heirs Executors or Administrators do and shall well and Truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said William Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson their heirs Executors Administrators or Certain Attorney the full and Just sum of six hundred and fifty Pounds Eighteen shillings and five Pence Sterling with Interest thereon from the fourth day of June One thousand seven hundred and fifty after the rate of five P Cent P Annum on or before the tenth day of April which shall be in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty five then the above Deed to be Void and of none Effect any thing herein Contained to the Contrary Notwithstanding In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have set their hands and seals the day and Year first above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered Tho.s Hodgkin seal in Presence of Charles Grahame Jn.o Chesley On the Back of the aforegoing Mortgage was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received the day and Year within Written of the within Named W.m Torver Bartholomew Pomeroy and Joseph Janson the sum of six hundred and fifty Pounds Eighteen shillings and five Pence Money being the Consideration Money within mentioned Test John Hepburn Tho.s Hodgkin Prince Georges County March y.e 29.th 1754 Then came Thomas Hodgkin Party to the within Deed before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and Acknowledged the same to be his Act and Deed for the Uses therein Mentioned According to an Act of Assembly in that case made and Provided 11 1/4 sides before me John Hepburne Recorded April the 8.th 1754 Ex.d This Indenture made the eighth day of February in the Year of our Lord One thousand seven hundred fifty and four Between Henry Watson of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland and Lucy Watson Wife to the said Henry of the one part and James Dick of London Town in Ann Arundel County in the Province afs.d Merchant and Attorney in Fact of William Black of London Merchant of the other part Witnesseth whereas the said Henry Watson by his Deed Indented bearing date the fifth day of July in the Year of our Lord one Thousand seven hundred forty and two did Convey and make over unto James Russell of Prince Georges County afs.d Merchant part of a Tract of Land called the Vineyard and part of an other Tract called Flints Discover and another Tract called the Widows Mite all lying and being in Prince Georges County aforesaid And whereas the said James (Russell) |
