436) 11.th January 1749 Came before Us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of Ann Arundel County the within named William Bordley and did Acknowledge the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed for the Uses and Purposes within mentioned, and that the House Lott and Premisses within mentioned to be thereby Bargained and Sold are the Right Estate and Property of the within named Stephen Bordley according to the true intent and meaning of the within Deed Jn.o Bullen Tho.s Jennings Reced the 13.th Jan.ry 1749 to be Recorded and same day Recorded in Ann Arundel County Land Records in Liber R B N.o 3 fol 208 & 209 P John Brice Clk Recorded Nov.r 24.th 1753 7 1/2 Ex.d This Indenture made the thirtieth Day of October in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty three Between Stephen Bordley of Ann Arundel County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the one part and James Maccubbin of the City of Annapolis and Province aforesaid Merchant of the other part Witnesseth that for and in Consideration of the Sum of three hundred and fifty Pounds Current Money of Maryland by him the said James Maccubbin to him the said Stephen Bordley in hand paid at or before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof the said Stephen Bordley doth Acknowledge and thereof and therefrom and of and from every part and parcel thereof Doth hereby Release Acquit Exonerate and Discharge the said James Maccubbin his Heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them by these Present he the said Stephen Bordley Hath Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Released Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien Release Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said James Maccubbin his Heirs and Assigns All that Brick house and Lott of Land thereunto belonging Situate lying and being in the City of Annapolis aforesaid and lying on a street called Francis Street and on the South West side thereof being directly opposite to and by the said Street divided by a certain Benjamin Fordhams late Dwelling House commonly called the Kentish House which said House and Lott hereby bargained and Sold or mentioned or intended so to be were lately in the Occupation of a certain Hugh Kennedy of the said City Innholder and also since in the Occupation of a certain Jordan of the City of Annapolis aforesaid Hatter and now in the Tenure & Occupation of (the) |
