419) of Parliament made and passed in the fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Second intituled An Act for the more Easy Recovery of Debts in his Majestys Plantations and Colonies in America Do hereby Certify that on the day of the date hereof Personally came and Appeared before me Evan Patterson the Deponent named in the Affidavit hereunto Annexed being a Person well known and worthy of good Credit and by Solemn Oath which the ^said^ Deponent then took before me upon the Holy Evangelist of Almighty God did Solemnly and Sincerely declare Testify and Depose to be True the several matters and things mentioned and contained in the said Affidavit annexed In Faith and Testimony whereof I the said Lord Mayor have Caused the the Seal of the Office of Mayoralty of the said City of London to be hereunto City Seal put and Affixed and the Original Letter of Attorney mentioned and referred of London to in and by the said Affidavit to be hereunto also Annexed Dated in London the fourteenth Day of June in the Year of our Lord 1753 Man London Evan Patterson of Winchester Street in the Parish of Saint Peter Le Poor London Gentleman maketh Oath that he this Deponent was present on the Eleventh day of June One Thousand seven hundred and fifty three and did see Ann Fell of Lancaster Spinster Daughter of Edward Fell formerly of the Province of Maryland in America but lately of Lancaster afsd Merchant Deceased Sign Seal and as her Act and Deed execute and deliver the Original Letter of Attorney hereunto Annexed bearing Date the said Eleventh day of June One Thousand seven hundred and fifty three to and for the Use of Robert Foster late of London but now of the said Province Merchant and that the name Evan Patterson Subscribed to the Original Letter of Attorney as one of the Witnesses to the Execution thereof is of the ^proper^ hand Writing of him this Deponent Evan Patterson Sworn at my Mansion House the 14 day of June 1753 before me Crisp Gascoyne Mayor Know all Men by these Presents That I Ann Fell of Lancaster Spinster Daughter of Edward Fell formerly of the Province of Maryland in America but lately of Lancaster afsd Merchant deceased Have made Ordained Authorized Constituted and Appointed and by these Presents Do make ordain & Authorize Constitute & Appoint Robert Foster late of London but now of the said Province Merchant my true and lawfull Attorney for me and in my Name or otherwise and for my Use to Ask Demand Sue for Recover and Receive of and from all and every Person and Persons whatsoever in the said Province or (Else) |
