       the receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and himself fully satisfyed
       Contented and paid hath Given Granted bargained Sold Alien.d Enfeoft and
       confirm'd and by these Presents doth give Grant bargain sell alien Enfeoff and
       confirm unto the said Philip Hammond his Heirs and Assigns For Ever To say
       All those two Parcels of Land being parts of a Tract of Land called Woods
       Inclosure and Sold to the said John Howard Son of Gideon by Joseph Wood the one
       Parcel containing Eighty six Acres the other ninety four Acres as by Deeds
       duly made Executed and Recorded in the Records of Frederick County appears the
       said Two Parcels of Land being also what the said John Howard Son of Gideon
       Dwelling Plantation is made upon, also all that Tract of Land called CHance
       laying in Frederick County as lately Resurveyed for and in the Name of him the
       said John Howard Son of Gideon and according to the Meetes and Bounds thereof
       as Specifyed and set down in the Certificate returned under such Resurvey into his
       Lordships Land Office bearing Date the thirteenth day of April One Thousand seven
       hundred and fifty three containing Two Thousand two hundred Acres which said
       Land has its Beginning at a bounded white Oak standing near the head of a Draft
       that runs into the West side of Conigocheege, also all that Tract of Land called
       Lime Stone Land laying in Frederick County lately Resurveyed for and in the
       Name of him the said John Howard son of Gideon and according to the Meets and
       Bounds thereof as specifyed and set down in the Certificate returned under such
       Resurvey into his Lordships Land Office bearing Date the twentieth Day of
       April One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty three Containing Four Thousand
       and forty Acres more or less together with all and singular the Premisses and
       Appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining To have and to
       hold the said Lands and all and singular the Premisses aforesaid unto him the
       said Philip Hammond his Heirs and Assignes for Ever To the only proper use
       and Behoof of him the said Philip Hammond his Heirs and Assignes for Ever
       And it is further Covenanted Granted and Agreed by and between the said
       Parties That he the said John Howard Son of Gideon and his Heirs the afsd
       several Tracts or Parcels of Land with all and singular the Premisses and
       Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto him the said Philip Hammond
       his Heirs and Assignes for ever from and against him the said John
       Howard Son of Gideon and his Heirs for ever hereafter Defend by these Presents
       And for that the Rights of the Vacant Lands Added by the Resurveys
