412) Assuring and Conveying to them the said John Cooke and Charles Grahame in Fee Simple the Mill, Lands and Tenements herein after mentioned and described for the Purpose of Enabling the said Charles Grahame and John Cooke to expose to Sale the said Mill Lands and Tenements and to apply the Money that shall Arise or that may Arise from the Sale thereof towards the discharge and satisfaction of the Debt and Interest afsd Now this present Indenture Witnesseth that in Pursuance of the Premisses and for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by the said Charles Grahame and John Cooke at and before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge the Receipt and thereof and therefrom and off and from every part and Parcel thereof doth Acquit and Discharge the said Charles Grahame and John Cooke their Heirs Executors and Adm.rs and every of them for ever by these Presents He the said William Cumming Hath given granted bargained sold enfeoffed confirmed and made over and by these Presents Doth for himself and his Heirs Executors and Adm.rs give grant bargain sell Enfeoff confirm and make over unto the said Charles Grahame and John Cooke their Heirs Executors & Adm.rs all these following Tracts of Land To wit Cragg Mill lying and being on Linganore in Frederick County with the Water Mill and Houses with the Appurtenances thereon belonging to the said Land and Mill afsd which Cragg Mill contains twenty Acres of Land lying and being on the Main Branch of Linganore being part of a Tract of Land called Providence as also all that Tract of Land called Friendship lying in the County afsd containing nine hundred and twenty Acres of Land with the following Tracts of Land lying in the said County The Land of Vallies containing two hundred and sixty four Acres Breeshoer's Choice containing forty five Acres, Hope Containing Fifty Acres and also all that Tract of Land called Barber's Beginning lying and being in Ann Arundel County containing Thirty Acres of Land together with all and singular the Water Mills Water Courses Water ways Mill Dams Waters Gates Irons Stones Houses Improvements and Conveniencies on the said Land in any wise appertaining and belonging To have and To hold the afsd Land and Premisses with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto the said Charles Grayhame and John Cooke their Heirs Executors and Administrators for Ever Provided always Nevertheless and ^it^ is the true intent and meaning of these Presents and the Parties hereunto that the afsd Charles Grayhame and John Cooke or the Survivor of them shall as soon as conveniently may be set up (and) |
