381) Presents Doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Release and Confirm all the Right Title Interest Estate and Demand which he the said Thomas Bladen hath in to or out of the said forty nine Acres and the said Vineyard Houses Outhouses and Improvements whatsoever and all and every part and parcel thereof to have and to hold the same to the said Benjamin Tasker junior his Heirs and Assigns to and for his and their proper Use and Behoof In Witness whereof the above named Thomas Bladen Esquire hath hereunto Affixed his hand and Seal the day and Year first above Written Tho Bladen Seal Witness Ja.s Creagh Jehos.t Rawlings John Ireland On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t Annapolis June 22.d 1753 Then Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court Jehosaphat Rawlings Witness to the within Indenture and made Oath on the holy Evangelists of Almighty God that he saw the within mentioned Thomas Bladen Esq Sign and Seal the within Indenture and the same as his Act and Deed deliver for the Uses therein mentioned and that he also saw James Creagh the other Evidence at the same time sign his Name as Witness to the same Geo Steuart 5 sides Recorded August 7.th 1753 Ex.d This Indenture made this Ninth day of August in the Year of our Lord God Seventeen hundred and fifty three Between James Drain of Prince Georges County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part and John Lamar Junior of the County and Province aforesaid Merchant of the other part Witnesseth That Whereas the said John Lamar Junior at the Special Instance and request of the said James Drain on the Ninth day of August Instant became Bound to the Honourable Benjamin Tasker Esquire in a Bond or Obligation with the said James Drain Jointly and severally in the Penal Sum of Two hundred and sixty Pounds Sterling Money Conditioned for the Payment of One hundred and thirty Pounds like Money Now this Indenture further Witnesseth that the said James Drain for and in Consideration of the said John Lamar Junior his becoming Bound as afsd and also for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Sterling Money to him the said James Drain in hand paid by the said John Lamar Junior the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto the said John Lamar Junior his Heirs and Assigns for ever All that Tract or Parcel of Land (being part of a Tract of Land called Brock Hall) lying in the County aforesaid and Bounded as follows that is to say Beginning at the end of the first line of James Offutts part of the said Tract of Land and (running) |
