357) whole Year from thence next following fully to be Compleat and ended to the Intent and Purpose that the said Thomas Jennings may be better enabled to receive and take a Grant of the Premisses hereby Bargained and Sold to him and his Heirs in such sort manner and form as in and by an Indenture intended to bear date the day next after the day of the date of these Presents the same shall be Granted Released and Conveyed In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the day and Year first above written Sealed and Delivered Tho Cockey Seal in the Presence of William Steuart Jn.o Brice Seal Ja.s Barrance Th.s Jennings Seal Recorded April 20.th 1753 3 1/2 Ex.d This Indenture Tripartite made the Twentieth day of March in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty three Between Thomas Cockey of Baltimore County Planter and John Brice of Ann.l County Gent.l of the first part, Thomas Jennings of the County afsd Gent of the Second part and Beale Nicholson of Ann Arundel County afsd Gentleman of the third part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Cockey and John Brice for and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain to them in hand paid by the said Thomas Jennings the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged, Have given granted released and confirmed and by these Presents do give grant release and confirm unto him the said Thomas Jennings, All that Tract or Parcel of Land called Middle Neck containing fifty Acres of Land more or less with the Appurtenances ^lying^ in Ann Arundel County afsd, also one other Tract or Parcel of Land called Underwoods Addition Containing Twenty two Acres and one half of an Acre of Land more or less with the Appurtenances lying in the County aforesaid, also one other Tract or Parcel of Land called the Landing containing one hundred Acres of Land more or less with the Appurtenances lying in the County aforesaid together with the Houses Building Orchards Cornfields and Improvements thereunto belonging late in the Tenure and Occupation of the said Thomas Cockey and John Brice but now in the Actual Occupation of the said Thomas Jenings by force of an Indenture of Bargain and Sale thereof made bearing date the day next before the day of the date of these Presents and of the Statute for Transferring of Uses into Possession being To have and to hold all and singular the said several Tracts or Parcels of Land and all and every the Premisses with the Appurtenances hereby given granted released and confirmed or mentioned or intended to be hereby given granted (released) |
