356) Acknowledgement of the same willingly and freely and without being induced thereto by fears or threats of or ill Usage by her Husband or fear of his Displeasure and Acknowledged the same in due form of Law Taken and Acknowledged the day and Year above written before me Rob.t Jenckins Henry April the 5.th 1753 Then Received the full Consideration Money in the within Deed expressed £ 0 5 0 Cur Witnesses P his her Levin Wilson John A Atkinson Elizabeth 6 Atkinson George Livingston mark mark James Atkinson I Received for the Use of the Right Honble the Lord Baltimore three Shillings Sterling being for the Alienation of the within One hundred and forty Acres of Land this 19.th April 1753 Benj.a Tasker 15 1/2 Recorded April 19.th 1753 Ex.d This Indenture made this Nineteenth day of March in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty three Between Thomas Cockey of Baltimore County Planter and John Brice of Ann Arundel County Gent of the one part and Thomas Jennings of the same County Gentleman of the other part Witnesseth that the said Thomas Cockey and John Brice and in Consideration of the Sum of five Shillings Sterling to them in hand paid by the said Thomas Jennings before the Ensealing and Delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged have Bargained and Sold and by these Presents do Bargain and Sell unto the said Thomas Jennings All that Tract or Parcel of Land called Middle Neck Containing fifty Acres of Land more or less with the Appurtenances lying in Ann Arundel County also all that other Tract or Parcel of land called Underwoods Addition containing Twenty two Acres and one half of an Acre of Land more or less with the Appurtenances lying in Ann Arundel County aforesaid, Also one other Tract or Parcel of Land called the Landing Containing one hundred Acres of Land more or less with the Appurtenances together with the Houses Buildings Orchards Cornfields and Improvements to the same belonging To have and to hold the said several Tracts or Parcels of Land and Premisses with their Appurtenances hereby Bargained and Sold to the said Thomas Jennings his Executors Administrators and Assigns from the day next before the day of the date of these Presents for and during and unto the full end and Term of one (whole) |
