336) Christopher Lowndes his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent & meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in that Case made & Provided at the same time the said M.rs Elizabeth Calvert Wife of the said Benedict Calvert Esquire being privately Examined apart and out of the hearing of her said Husband declared that she made the same Acknowledgement willingly and freely and without being Induced thereto by Fears or Threats of or Ill Usage by her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure Jn.o Brice 21.st Febry 1753 Reced for the Use of the Right Honble the Lord Baltimore One Pound nine Shill.s & eight Pence Sterling being for the within Seven hundred forty two Acres of Land Benj.a Tasker 11 sides Recorded February 21.st 1753 Ex.d This Indenture made this Twentieth day of February in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty three Between Benedict Calvert of the City of Annapolis Esquire and Elizabeth Calvert of the City of Annapolis Wife of the said Benedict Calvert Esq.r and only Surviving Daughter and Heir at Law of the Honourable Charles Calvert late of the City of the City of Annapolis Esq.r deceased on the one part and David Ross of Bladensburgh in Prince Georges County Merchant on the other part Witnesseth that the said Benedict Calvert and Elizabeth his Wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of Ninety two Pounds sixteen Shillings and two Pence Sterling in hand paid or Secured to be paid the Receipt whereof the said Benedict Calvert and Elizabeth his Wife do and each of them doth hereby Acknowledge and for other good Causes and Considerations them and each of them hereunto moving Have Given Granted Bargained and Sold Released and Confirmed and by these Presents do and each of them Doth give grant Bargain & Sell Release and Confirm unto the said David Ross his Heirs and Assigns for ever the following two parts or Parcels of the Tract of Land called the Charles and Rebecca with the Appurtenances Scituate lying and being in Prince Georges County on the Eastern Branch of Potomack River the said first part or Parcel Beginning at the end of Seventy five Perches on the fourth line of the said Land and thence North Sixty three and one Quarter Degrees East fifteen Perches North fifty eight Degrees East twenty Perches North forty one ^and^ a half Degrees East thirteen Perches to the Out lines of the Town of Bladensburgh and with them West six Perches North Ten Perches then West till it Intersects the fourth line of the said Tract and then with the said line to the beginning Containing Seven Acres and three Quarters of an Acre more or less Also the Second part or Parcel of the said Tract of Land called the Charles and Rebecca Beginning at the Bound Tree of the said Tract and running with the Out lines of the said Town of Bladensburgh East sixteen Perches South thirty Perches East sixteen Perches South thirty Perches East fifteen Perches South ten Perches East sixteen Perches South ten Perches East forty nine & a half Perches North ten Perches East fourteen and a half Perches then leaving the lines of the said Town and running North twenty seven and a half Degrees East thirty Perches North forty two Degrees East thirty three Perches North fifty three Degrees East thirty eight Perches North fifty nine Degrees East Seventeen Perches North thirty Degrees East thirty nine Perches North forty Degrees (East) |
