282) said Province and belonging to me the said Thomas Bladen and the Deed or Deeds Conveyance or Conveyances Lease or Leases of the same for me and in my Name to Seal and as my Deed or Deeds to deliver unto the parties to whom the same shall be so made or to any other to their Use or Uses And also all such Rents Sum and Sums of Money as are now due or shall grow due for the same for me and in my Name to Collect Gather' recover and receive and Distresses for me and in my Name to make for Nonpayment thereof And also for me and in my Name to Ask Levy Recover and Receive of and from all Persons whatsoever All such Sum and Sums of Money as are now due or shall hereafter grow due to me and to give Acquittances and Discharges for the same for me and in my Name And also to receive of and from all Persons whatsoever All Goods Wares and Merchandizes belonging to me and to Sell and Dispose of the same for me and in my Name Giving and by these Presents Granting to my said Attorney my full and whole Power Strength & Authority in the Premisses to do Execute Proceed & Finish in all things in as ample manner and form and to all Intents and Purposes as I myself could do if I were Personally present Ratifying Allowing and holding for firm & Stable All and whatsoever my said Attorney shall Lawfully do or Cause to be done in or about the Premisses or any of them according to the True Intent and meaning of these Presents In Witness whereof I the said Thomas Bladen have hereto set my hand & Seal this fourth day of June 1747 Signed Sealed and Delivered T Bladen Seal In the Presence of Edm Jenings S Bordley At the foot of the aforegoing Power of Attorney was thus Written Viz.t June 9.th 1752 Came Edmund Jenings of the City of Annapolis Esq.r before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court and made Oath on the Holy Evangels that he did see and hear the above named Thomas Bladen Sign Seal and Deliver the aforegoing Instrument as his Act and Deed for the Uses and Purposes therein contained and that he the Deponent did thereto set his name as a Witness Jn.o Brice June 6.th 1752 Came Stephen Bordley of Annapolis before me one of his Lordship's Justices of the Provincial Court and made Oath on the Holy Evangels that he did see and hear the above Named Thomas Bladen Sign Seal and Deliver the foregoing Instrument as his Act and Deed for the Uses and Purposes therein contained that he the Deponent did thereto set his Name as a Witness and did also see the above Named Edmund Jenings set his Name thereto as a Witness and that the above Names Edm Jenings and S Bordley are of the proper hand Writing of Edmund Jenings of Annapolis Esq.r and the said Deponent respectively 6 Recorded June 10.th 1752 Robert Gordon Cha to Hollingsworth Ex.d This Indenture made this Sixth day of June in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty two By and between Thomas Bladen of London Gentleman of the one part and Zebulon Hollingsworth of Cecil County and Province of Maryland Innholder of the other (part) |
