281) whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this day of December seventeen hundred and fifty one Witness James Hall Tho.s Parry Dennis Dulany Jehoshap.t Rawlings Be it Remembered That on the fourth day of June in the Year of our Lord God Seventeen hundred and fifty two before me the Subscriber one of the Justices of the Provincial Court Personally appeared Jehosaphat Rawlings and James Hall two of the subscribing Witnesses to the within Deed and above Power of Attorney and made Oath on the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God that they were presents at the Execution thereof and did for the above and within Named Thomas Parry Sign Seal and Deliver the within Deed and above Power of Attorney as his Act and Deed to and for the Uses and Purposes therein mentioned and that Dennis Dulany the other Subscribing Witness was present at the Execution thereof and subscribed his Name as a Witness thereto in their Presence Sworn to before Jn.o Brice On the fourth Day of June Anno Dom 1752 before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices Personally Appeared John Brice who by Virtue of the above Power of Attorney Acknowledged the within Deed as the Act and Deed of the above and within named Thomas Parry and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and estate of the within named John Worthington his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent & meaning of the same Deed and the Act of Assembly in that Case made and provided Rob.t Jenckins Henry June 4.th 1752 Received of M.r John Worthington four Pounds Sterling for his Lordships Use (it being the Alienation fine on the within mentioned Land Supposing the same to Contain Two thousand Acres) By Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General Rich.d Dorsey 10 Recorded June 4.th 1752 Vide Mortgage On which the following Receipt was Endorsed Recorded heretofore in Liber E I N.o 8 fol 152 Rec.d May 8.th 1750 of Maj.r Abraham Barnes the Sum of four hundred Twenty eight 1/2 Pounds eleven Shillings & six Pence Sterling with Legal Interest thereon to this Day Recorded June 10.th 1752 P David Arnold Ex.d Know all Men by these Presents That I Thomas Bladen Esq.r Have made Ordained Constituted and Appointed And by these Presents Do make Ordain Constitute and Appoint Benjamin Tasker Jun.r of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland Esq.r my true and Lawfull Attorney for me and in my Name and to my Use to Bargain Sell Lease or Grant to any Person or Persons whatsoever and for such Sum and Sums of Money as he my said Attorney shall think meet and requisite All and every Tract and Tracts Parcel or Parcels of Land Messuages Tenements & Hereditaments whatsoever lying and being in the (said) |
