272) and Sophia his Wife of in to or out of the said hereby released Land and Premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances And the Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Rents Issues and Profits thereof and of every part and parcel thereof and also the therein mentioned Clause Covenant or Proviso for the Redemption of the aforesaid Land and Premisses and also all Equity of Redemption under or by means of the same To have and to hold the said Tract of Land and other the Premisses hereby released or intended so to be with the Appurtenances unto him the said William Lux his Heirs and Assigns free and clear and freely and clearly discharged of and from the aforesaid Clause or Proviso And also of and from all Equity of Redemption under or by means of the same In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and seals the day and Year first above Written her Alexand.r Lawson Seal Tho.s Todd Seal Sophia S Todd Seal mark Exec.r of Cap.t Rob.t North On the Back of the aforegoing Release was thus Endorsed Viz.t Signed Sealed and Delivered in Presence of Lyde Goodwin N Ruxton Gay Received on the day and Year first within Written of the within mentioned William Lux the Sum of forty four Pounds Seventeen Shillings and six pence Current Money in full for the Consideration Money mentioned to be by him paid to me P me Alexand.r Lawson Witnessed by N Ruxton Gay Exor of Cap.t Rob.t North Received on the Day and Year first within Written of the within Named William Lux the Sum of three Pounds Current Money in full for the Consideration Money mentioned to be by him paid to me P me Tho.s Todd Witnesses Lyde Goodwin N Ruxton Gay March 23.d 1752 Then came before Us the Subscribers two of his Lordships Justices of the Peace for Baltimore County the within Named Alexander Lawson Thomas Todd and Sophia his Wife and Severally Acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be their Several Act and Deed and that the Tract or Parcel of Land therein mentioned or intended is the Absolute and Indefeazable Right and Estate of the within named William Lux his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the true Intent and meaning of the said Deed, And the aforesaid Sophia being also by Us examined apart from and out of the hearing of her said Husband did repeat as before and did further freely declare that she did by this Acknowledgement Release and did thereby intend to release all her Right and Title of Dower to the within mentioned Tract of Land called Charles his Forest and other the Premisses to the aforesaid William Lux his Heirs and Assigns and that she made this Acknowledgement of her own free will and Consent without any Compulsion or Threats from her said Husband or fear of his Displeasure Lyde Goodwin N Ruxton Gay (Maryland) |
