245) every of their Appurtenances unto him the said Edward Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns against all Persons whatsoever shall and will Warrant and Defend by these Presents Provided always and these Presents are upon this Condition Nevertheless that if the said John Martin Junior his Executors or Administrators shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid to the said Edward Dorsey his Executors Administrators or Assigns the said Sum of Twenty Pounds Current Money of Maryland on the Tenth day of March next which shall be in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred and fifty three with legal Interest for the same from the date hereof together with the Charges of Drawing and Recording this Conveyance then this present Indenture and the Estate hereby made shall Cease and Determine and the Lands and Premisses become the Right and Estate of the said John Martin Junior and his Heirs any thing herein contained to the Contrary in any wise notwithstanding And the said John Martin Junior for himself & his Heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them doth Covenant Grant and Agree to & with the said Edward Dorsey his Executors and Administrators by these Presents that he the said John Martin Junior shall and will well and truly pay the said Sum of Twenty Pounds Current Money of Maryland at the day of Payment aforesaid with legal Interest for the same from the Date hereof according to the true Intent and meaning of these Presents In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and Seals the Day and Year first above Written Sealed and Delivered John Martin junior Seal in the Presence of Rich.d Snowden H Woodward On the back of the aforegoing Mortgage was thus Endorsed Viz.t March the 12.th 1752 Received of M.r Edward Dorsey the Sum of Twenty Pounds Current Money of Maryland being the Consideration Money within mentioned Witness John Martin junior Rich.d Snowden H Woodward Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court John Martin Junior and Acknowledged the within Instrument as his Act and Deed and the Lands and Premisses within mentioned to be the Right Estate of the said Edward Dorsey and his Heirs according to the directions of the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided 7 Acknowledged before me this Twelfth day of March 1752 Recorded March 12.th 1752 Jn.o Brice Ex.d This Indenture made this fourteenth Day of March in the Year of our Lord God One Thousand Seven hundred fifty and two Between David Wattson of Frederick County Weaver of the one part and Charles Carroll of Annapolis Merchant on the other part Witnesseth that the said David Wattson for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty three Pounds ten Shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in hand paid and Satisfyed at and before the ensealing and delivery of these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledged Hath Bargained Sold Aliened Given Granted Released and Confirmed and by these Presents Doth (Absolutely) |
