243) all the Rights Profits Advantages Fees Rewards and Emoluments whatsoever to the said Office and place in any wise belonging or Appertaining which are or shall be Established Used or Allowed for or in respect of the Exercise or Execution of the aforesaid Office and place with full Power to do all such Act and Acts thing and things within and about the Premisses as shall be any ways needfull Necessary or Convenient to be done and that in as full and ample manner to all Intents and Purposes as I my self might or could do if Personally present In Witness whereof I the said Cæcilius Calvert have hereunto set my hand and Seal this Eleventh day of September in the Twenty fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the Faith and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty one Sealed and Delivered (being Cæcil.s Calvert Seal first duly Stampt) in the Presence of Hugh Hamersley Rich.d Guy To which aforegoing Commission was Annexed the following Deposition and Certificate Viz.t Richard Guy of Chancery Lane London Gentleman maketh Oath and saith that he was present and as a Witness did see the Honourable Cæcilius Calvert Seal and as his Act and Deed in due form of Law Deliver and Execute to the Uses and Purposes therein mentioned the Paper Writing hereunto Annexed bearing date the Eleventh Day of September One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty one and Purporting to be an Instrument under the hand and Seal of the said Cæcilius Calvert appointing Edmond Jennings of the Province of Maryland Esquire Deputy Secretary thereof for so long as he the said Cæcilius Calvert shall think fit and for such other Purposes as therein mentioned and that he this Deponent as a Witness to the Sealing and Delivery thereof by the said Cæcilius Calvert did thereunto Subscribe his Name as thereby it doth and may appear and that the Name Hugh Hamersley who so Subscribed the same in the Sight and Presence of this Deponent in such manner as thereby it doth and may appear Rich.d Guy Sworn the 13.th day of September 1751 before me in London F Cockayne Mayor To all to whom these Presents shall come I Francis Cockayne Esquire Lord Mayor of the City of London In Pursuance of an Act of Parliament made and passed in the fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Second Intituled An Act for the more Easy Recovery of Debts in his Majestys Plantations and Colonies in American I do hereby Certify that on the Day of the Date hereof Personally came and appeared before me Richard Guy of Chancery Lane London Gentleman being a Person well known and worthy of good Credit and did by Solemn Oath which he took upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God Solemnly declare testify and depose to be true the several matters and things contained in the Affidavit hereunto Annexed In Faith and Testimony whereof I the said Lord Mayor have Caused the Seal of the Office of Mayoralty of the said City of London to be hereunto (put) |
