240) Grant Declare and Agree to and with each other and to and with the aforesaid Nathan Wright and to and with their and each and every of their Heirs Executors Administrators and Assignes by these Presents that the true Intent and meaning of the Recovery afs.d and of the Partys thereunto and to these Presents was and is And it is by these Presents and the Partys hereunto declared that the same Common Recovery and all Effects thereof shall be and enure and shall be Construed Deemed and taken to be and enure to and for the only Sole and Proper Use and Benefit and Behoof of the afs.d Nathan Wright his Heirs and Assigns forever And that the afs.d James Emory and his Heirs and all and every other Person and Persons whatsoever who shall stand and be seized of and in the afs.d Parcel of Land contained within the Lines and Boundarys afs.d with the Appurtenances or of and in any part thereof by Force and Virtue of the Recovery afs.d or otherways howsoever shall stand and be seized thereof and of every part thereof with the Appurtenances to and for the Proper Use Benefit and Behoof of the same Nathan Wright his Heirs and Assigns forever and to and for no other Use Intent benefit behoof Intent or Purpose whatsoever In Witness whereof the Partys aforesaid to these Presents have hereunto Interchangeably set their hands and seals the Day and Year first above Written Sealed & Delivered In Presence of Us James Emory Seal R.d Tilghman John Davis Jun.r Seal his Abraham X Oldson N.n Wright jun.r Seal mark On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t On the 27.th Day of February Anno Dom 1752 James Emory, John Davis and Nathan Wright within named Personally came and appeared before me the underwritten one of the Right Honble the Lord Proprietary his Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland to and for the Uses Intents & Purposes therein mentioned & declared In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand the day and Year above Written R.d Tilghman 7 Recorded March 2.d 1752 Ex.d Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland and Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore &c And also the Right Honourable Arthur Onslow Esquire Speaker of the House of Commons and one of his Majestys most Honourable Privy Council and John Sharpe of Lincolns Inn in the County of Middlesex Esquire Guardians of the said Frederick Lord Baltimore for and on his behalf To the Honorable Cæcilius Calvert Esquire Greeting Know Ye That I the said Frederick Lord Baltimore and We the said Arthur Onslow and John Sharpe Guardians of the said Lord Baltimore on his behalf by Virtue of the Powers in the Letters Patent from King Charles the first to Cæcilius Baron of Baltimore his Heirs and Assigns of the said Province of Maryland &c.a Do by these Presents Constitute you the said Cæcilius Calvert to Exercise the Office of Secretary of the said Province of Maryland during our Pleasure hereby Authorizing you and giving you full Power to Nominate and Appoint a sufficient Deputy And also Authorizing and Impowering you or your Sufficient Deputy to be present at all meetings of the Governor and Council and of the Assemblys in that Province and keep an exact Register of all their Acts Proceedings and Orders and to do and perform all other Acts Usually done by the former Secretarys of (Province) |
