Ex.d This Indenture made the 22.d Day of January Anno Domini Seventeen hundred fifty
       and two Between Luke Mercer of Baltimore County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part
       and John Melone of the same County and Province aforesaid Cordwainer of the other part Witnesseth that the
       said Luke Mercer for and in the Consideration of the Sum of Thirty Pounds Current Money of the Province
       afsd to him in hand paid by the said John Melone before the Sealing and Delivery of these Presents Hath
       given granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents Do give grant
       bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said John Melone his Heirs and Assigns all that
       Tract or Parcel of Land called Mercers Chance lying and being in the County afores.d Situated on the North
       side of the Western fork of Patapsco falls Beginning at two Bounded White Oaks and a Bounded red
       Oak near a small Run decending into the said Falls and running thence South seventy two Degrees
       West sixty eight Perches thence North thirty Degrees West forty Perches thence North fifteen Degrees
       West Seventy Perches thence North sixty Degrees East sixty five Perches and from thence a streight line to
       the beginning Containing and laid out for fifty Acres of Land more or less To have and to hold
       the said Tract of Land with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging together with all Houses Orchards
       Gardens Yards back sides Easments Meadows Feeding Pastures Woods Underwoods Profits and
       Commodities with all Fences thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining thereto unto him the said
       John Melone his Heirs and Assigns for ever and the said Luke Mercer doth for himself his Heirs Executors
       and Administrators Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said John Melone his Heirs and
       Assigns the fore bargained Land and Premisses with all and singular the Appurtenances To Warrant
       and Defend to the said John Melone his Heirs and Assigns from all manner of Persons whatsoever
       that shall or may Claim any Right Title or Interest to the said Tract of Land or any part or parcel thereof
       from by or under him the said Luke Mercer his Heirs or Assigns or either of them and further that he the
       said Luke Mercer now hath full Power good Right and Lawfull Authority and true Title to Grant Bargain
       Sell and Confirm the before Bargained Land and Premisses and every part and parcel thereof unto him the
       said John Melone his Heirs and Assigns in manner and form afs.d and according to the true Intent and
       meaning of these Presents and the said Luke Mercer for himself his Heirs Executors and Administrators
       and for every of them doth further Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said John Melone
       his Heirs Executors and Assigns by these Presents that the said Tract of Land and all other the
       Premisses above by these Presents mentioned to be Granted and Sold and every part and parcel thereof
       on the day of the date hereof and from time to time and at all times hereafter forever shall be remain and
       continue to the said John Melone his Heirs and Assigns for ever free and clear and freely and clearly
       Acquitted Exonerated and Discharged or otherwise by the said Luke Mercer his Heirs or Assigns Sufficiently
       Saved and kept harmless of and from all manner of former Bargains Sales Joyntures Dowers Leases &
       from all other Charges Titles Troubles and Incumbrances whatsoever had made committed suffered or done
       by the said Luke Mercer his Heirs or Assigns and that he the said John Melone his Heirs and Assigns
       shall and may from hence forth for ever Peaceably and Quietly have hold Use Occupy Possess and Enjoy
       the said Tract of Land and other the Premisses above by these Presents mentioned without the Let
       Interruption or Contradiction of the said Luke Mercer his Heirs or Assigns In Witness whereof the said
       Luke Mercer hath hereunto set his hand and Affixed his Seal the day and Year first above Written
       Signed Sealed and Delivered

       and Sale to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Estate
       Right and Title of the within named John Melone his Heirs and Assigns for ever The same day
