       Lost them by their Deceased Father with the Improvements Advantages and Conveniencys thereunto
       belonging or in any manner of way appertaining To have and to hold the same to the only proper Use and
       Behoof of him the said John Griffith his Heirs and Assigns for ever and to no other Use Intent or Purpose
       whatsoever and they the said Notley Thomas and Rebecca his Wife do for themselves their Heirs Executors
       and Administrators Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said John Griffith his Heirs and
       Assigns to save and keep harmless of and from all Cost and Charges y.t shall Legally Accrue in defence
       of the Title hereby Derived from the said Notley Thomas and Rebecca his Wife to the Land above mentioned
       and the same Land defend from all manner Persons Claiming or Claim by from or under them or any
       of them and further the said Notley Thomas and Rebecca his Wife do for themselves their Heirs
       Executors & Administrators Covenant Promise Grant and Agree to and with the said John Griffith his
       Heirs and Assigns that ^he^ the said Notley Thomas and Rebecca his Wife and their Heirs shall and will
       from time to time and at all times hereafter at the reasonable Request and at the proper Cost and
       Charges in the Law of him the said John Griffith his Heirs and Assigns do make Acknowledge
       suffer and Execute any further Deed or Instrument of Writing such as the said John Griffith his
       Heirs or Assigns his or their Council learned in the Law shall reasonably devise Advise or require
       for the further and better Assurance Surety and Sure making their Right to the Land afsd unto him
       the said John Griffith his Heirs and Assigns for ever   In Testimony whereof the Partys to these Presents
       have set their hands and Affixed their Seals the day and Year first above Written

          On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t

       Received the Day and Year within Written of the within Named John Griffith the Sum of forty Pounds Sterling
       being the Consideration Money within mentioned

          The Day and Year within Written Came Notley Thomas and Rebecca his Wife partys to the within Deed
       and Acknowledged the same to be their Act and Deed for the Use herein mentioned

       Dec.r 20.th 1751   Received of M.r John Griffith three Shillings and a farthing Sterling for his Lordships Use
       (it being the Alienation Fine on the Lands Conveyed by the within Deed Supposing the same to contain
       One hundred and Sixteen Acres and an half Acre) by Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r
       his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General

Ex.d Vide Commission on which the following Certificate is Endorsed Recorded in this Book folio 185
        I Robert Gordon one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court Do hereby Certify That the
       Reverend that the Reverend M.r Alexander Malcolm Minister of S.t Annes Parish and John Thompson
       one of the Church Wardens of the said Parish by their Certificate Dated the thirtieth Day of this Instant
       and proved before me by the Oaths of Quintin Malcolm and Edmund Jenings Jun.r Son of William before
       me did Certify That the within Named Edmund Jenings did receive the Sacrament of the Lords Supper
       on the Twenty ninth Instant being the Lords Day commonly called Sunday after Divine Service and
       Sermon from the hands of the said Alexander Malcolm according to the Usage of the Church of
       England Given under my hand this 30.th Day of December 1751
