229) per Annum for the Term of Seven Years to Commence from the Twenty ninth Day of November then last past unless the said Sum of Two Thousand five hundred Pounds Sterling should be sooner paid or discharged Promise and Agree to and with the said Ralph Falkner Edward Neal John Triplett and Charles Ewell their Heirs and Assigns upon Payment of the aforesaid Sum of Money and Interest to Convey unto them their Heirs and Assigns All those Several Tracts and Parcels of Land lying and being on the Drafts of Back and Middle Rivers and White Marsh Run in Baltimore County in the said Province of Maryland which Tracts are in the said Articles particularly Named or Described and are herein after Conveyed by Virtue of these Presents or mentioned and Intended so to be And Whereas the aforesaid Ralph Falkner Edward Neale John Triplett and Charles Ewell or some or one of them have or hath paid and satisfyed unto the afsd Charles Carroll the Sum of Three hundred Pounds Sterling Money as and for Interest Accrued as aforesaid on the aforesaid Sum of Two Thousand five hundred Pounds Sterling to the thirtieth day of November Seventeen hundred and forty nine the Receipt of which Sum of Interest Money he the said Charles Carroll doth hereby Acknowledge And Whereas the afsd Ralph Falkner, Edward Neale, John Triplett and a certain Bortrand Ewell Executor of the Testament and last Will of the aforesaid Charles Ewell since the making the Articles of Agreement afs.d Deceased did by their Assignment bearing date on or about the Twenty third Day of October in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty and Indorsed on the said Articles of Agreement for and in Consideration of the Sum of Twelve hundred Pounds Sterling to them in hand paid by the aforesaid Nicholas Hackett Carew, Mary Wightwick, Thomas Russell, Osgood Gee, John Price and Laurence Washington Assign Transferr and sett over unto them the said Nicholas Hackett Carew Mary Wightwick Thomas Russell Osgood Gee John Price and Laurence Washington their Heirs and Assigns All and every the Messuages Lands and Premisses in the afs.d Articles of Agreement mentioned and expressed together with the said Agreement and all and singular the Estate Right Title Claim Interest Property and Demand which they the said Ralph Falkner, Edward Neale John Triplett and Bertrand Ewell Executor as aforesaid then had or ought to have of in or to the said Agreement Lands and Premisses with the Appurtenances And Whereas the aforesaid Nicholas Hackett Carew, Mary Wightwick, Thomas Russell, Osgood Gee, John Price and Laurence Washington did on or about the twenty ^fourth^ day of February last past pay and satisfy unto the aforesaid Charles Carroll, the Sum of One hundred Pounds Sterling in full for all Arrear of Interest due unto him to and until the Thirtieth Day of November then last past for or upon the aforesaid Sum of two Thousand five hundred Pounds sterling according to the said recited Agreement the Receipt whereof the said Charles Carroll doth hereby Acknowledge so that there now on the Date of these Present remains due unto the said Charles Carroll only the said Sum of Two Thousand five hundred Pounds Sterling and the further Sum of Seventy five Pounds Sterling Money for Interest thereon from the afs.d thirtieth day of November last past both which Sums the afs.d Nicholas Hackett Carew, Mary Wightwick, Thomas Russell, Osgood Gee, John Price and Laurence Washington are now ready and willing to pay and Satisfy Pursuant to the said recited Agreement and Assignment thereof as afs.d Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Charles Carroll for and in Consideration of the Sum of One hundred Pounds Sterling Money by them the said Nicholas Hackett Carew, Mary Wightwick, Thomas Russel, Osgood Gee, John Price and Laurence Washington to him the said Charles Carroll heretofore in hand paid and also for and in Consideration of the further afsd Sum of Seventy five Pounds Sterling and two Thousand five hundred Pounds Sterling Money aforesaid by them the said Nicholas Hackett Carew, Mary Wightwick, Thomas Russel, Osgood Gee, John Price and Laurence Washington to him the said Charles Carroll in hand paid at the ensealing and delivery of these Presents the receipt of which three last mentioned Several Sums of Money the said Charles Carroll doth hereby Acknowledge and them the said Nicholas Hackett Carew, Mary Wightwick, Thomas Russell, Osgood Gee, John Price and (Laurence) |
