214) Executions And Whereas also the said Samuel Howard is Justly Indebted unto the said John Brice in the Sum of Seventeen Pounds ten Shillings & three pence Current Money and Seven Shillings and two pence Ster for Tobacco due from the said Samuel to the said John for Recording the afore recited Mortgage in the Provincial Court & for Clerks Fees and also for Tobacco promised by the said John Brice under his hand to be paid to the said Charles Carroll for his Costs and Charges accrued on Account of entering the said Judgments and suing out Executions thereon and for Alienation fine paid by the said John Brice for said Samuel Howard which aforesaid several Sums of Current Money & Sterling Money together with the legal Interest in the Money afsd due on the afs.d Mortgage and due on the Bonds the said John Brice paid to the said Charles Carroll Esq.r amount in the whole to the sum of two hundred ninety four pounds nineteen Shillings and two pence Current Money and three hundred Sixty one Pounds fifteen Shillings and nine pence Sterling Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Samuel Howard for and in Consideration of the afs.d sums of two hundred ninety four Pounds nineteen Shillings and two Pence Current Money and three hundred sixty one Pounds fifteen Shillings and nine pence Sterling to him paid by the said John Brice the Receipt whereof he the said Samuel Howard doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and of every part and parcel thereof doth Acquit Exonerate and Discharge the said John Brice hath given granted bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents for himself his Heirs Ex.rs and Adm.rs doth give grant Bargain sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said John Brice his Heirs and Assigns for ever all those seven following Tracts or Parcels of Land five of them lying on the South side of Severn River in Ann Arundel County and two lying in Baltimore County to wit One Tract called Howards Inheritance containing four hundred and forty nine Acres Granted by Patent bearing date the first day of May in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred to Samuel Howard Great Grand Father to ^the said^ Samuel Howard party to these presents as by the said Patent referrence being thereunto had may more fully appear one other Tract called Warners Neck containing three hundred and twenty Acres more or less granted by Patent bearing date the 20.th day of June 1668 to a certain James Warner as by the said Patent referrence being thereunto had may more fully appear one other Tract of Land called Porters Hills containing two hundred Acres of Land more or less Granted by Patent bearing date the 19.th day of Sept.r 1659 to a certain Peter Porter as by the said Patent referrence being thereunto had may more fully appear one other Tract of Land called Chance containing two hundred Acres of Land more or less Granted by Patent bearing date the 20.th day of August 1664 to a certain Cornelius Howard as by the said Patent referrence being thereunto had may more fully appear one other Tract of Land called Howards Swamp Containing four hundred and a Quarter of an Acre of Land Originally Granted by Patent bearing date the 8.th day of March 1747 to said Samuel Howard party to these Presents as by the said Patent referrence being thereunto had may more fully appear also Howards Range lying in Baltimore County containing three hundred eighty seven Acres of Land more or less together with a Tract of Land called Luckey Adventure lying also in Baltimore County containing two hundred and fifty Acres of Land more or less which the said Samuel party to these presents Bought of his Brother Thomas Howard and all and singular the House Buildings Gardens Yards Orchards Cornfields Woods and Underwoods to the same (belonging) |
