210) David Register and his Heirs by these Presents that the said Thomas Hammond the hereby Bargained Land and Premisses with their Appurtenances unto the said David Register his Heirs and Assigns for ever against him the said Thomas Hammond and his Heirs and against all other Persons whatsoever shall and will Warrant and for ever defend by these Presents In Witness whereof the said Thomas Hammond hath hereunto set his hand and seal the day and Year above Written Signed Sealed and Delivered in Presence of Tho.s Hammond Seal William Cowman her Sarah + Emory Jun.r mark On the Back of the aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed (Viz.t) Reced October the Seventh Anno Domini One Thousand seven hundred and fifty one of the within mentioned David Register the Sum of Sixty five Pounds Current Money in full satisfaction for the within mentioned Land Witness William Cowman by Tho.s Hammond Came Thomas Hammond within mentioned before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Provincial Justices and did Acknowledge the within Deed of Sale to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right of the within Named David Register and his Heirs and Assigns for ever Acknowledged this ninth day of October Anno Dom 1751 Robert Gordon October the 9.th 1751 Received of M.r David Register one Shilling and two pence half Penny Sterling for his Lordships Use (it being the Alienation Fine on the within mentioned Sixty Acres of Land) by Virtue of a Comm.n from Benj.a Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General 8 Recorded Oct.r 9.th 1751 Rich.d Dorsey Ex.d This Indenture made the sixteenth day of October ion the Year of our Lord God One Thousand seven hundred and fifty one Between Richard King Stevenson of Baltimore County Planter on the one part and Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis Merchant on the other part Witnesseth that the said Richard King Stevenson for and in Consideration of the Sum of eighty Pounds Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in hand paid by him the said Charles Carroll the Receipt whereof he doth hereby Acknowledge and thereof and from every part and parcel thereof doth Acquit and Discharge him the said Charles Carroll his Ex.rs and Adm.rs Hath Given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed And by these Presents doth fully Absolutely and Freely Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff and Confirm unto him the said Charles Carroll all that part of a Tract of Land called Edward & Will's Valies & Hills in Baltimore County which was Conveyed to him the said Richard by his Brother Edward Stevenson the Second Day of March One Thousand Seven hundred thirty and five Containing two hundred and ninety Acres of Land being the Dwelling Plantation of him the said Richard King Stevenson As also all that Tract or parcel of Land called Good Will Containing five hundred and twenty five Acres of Land Situate and being on (little) |
