185) Deponant is Informed and believes and who so Subscribed the same in the Sight and Presence of this Deponant Sworn the 27.th day of June 1751 Hugh Hamersley before me in London F Cokayne Mayor To all to whom these Presents shall come I Francis Cokayne Esquire Lord Mayor of the City of London in Pursuance of An Act of Parliament made and passed in the fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord King George the Second Intituled An Act for the more easy Recovery of Debts in his Majestys Plantations and Colonies in America do hereby Certify That on the day of the date hereof Personally Came and Appeared before me Hugh Hamersley of Lincolns Inn in the County of Middlesex Gentleman being a Person well known and Worthy of good Credit and did by Solemn Oath which he took upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty God Solemnly Declare Testify and Depose to be True the Several matters and things contained in the Affidavit hereunto Annexed In Faith & Testimony whereof I the said Lord Mayor have Caused the Seal of the Office of Mayoralty of the said City of London to be hereunto put and Affixed and the Paper Writing mentioned in the said Seal Affidavit to be also hereunto Annexed Dated in London the twenty Seventh day of June in the twenty fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Second by the Grace of God King of Great Britain France and Ireland Defender of the Faith and in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty one Recorded Oct.r 2.d 1751 Man 7 1/2 Maryland fs.t Frederick Absolute Lord and Proprietary of the Provinces of Maryland Avalon Lord Baron of Baltimore To Edmund Jenings Esq.r Greeting We reposing Especial Trust and Confidence in the Integrity Care and Circumspection of you the said Edmund Jenings do (by Virtue of the Powers given in the Letters Patent from King Charles the first to Ceecilius Baron of Baltimore his Heirs and Assignees of the said Province of Maryland) by these Presents constitute and appoint You the said Edmund Jenings Secretary of the said Province of Maryland with full Powers and Authority to you the said Edmund Jenings to execute the said Office of Secretary and to do and perform all other Acts usually done by the (former) |
