113) Decemb.r 27.th 1750 Then was the foregoing Deed Acknowledged according to Law by George Gordon Party thereto before Jn.o Needham John Clagett Decem.r 27.th 1750 Then Came M.rs Eleanor Gordon Wife of the said George Gordon who being examined apart from her said Husband declared that she Voluntarily relinquished all Claim and right of Dower to the within mentioned Lands without being compelled there^un^to by her said Husband John Clagett Jn.o Needham Recorded February 8.th 1750 11 1/2 On the Back of a Patent for One hundred and fifty Acres of Land called Kinsies Choice Granted unto Paul Kinsie bearing date the twenty third day of February Anno Dom One thousand Six hundred Sixty and One was Endorsed the following Assignments (Viz.t) Be it Known unto all Men by these Presents That I Pall Kinsey doe assigne over from me my heyres Executors Administrators or Assigns all my Right & title of this within Written Pattent & the Contents thereof unto Richard Phillips his heyres Executors Administrators or Assigns for ever In Witness whereof I have set my hand this fift day of February 1668 Witnesses hereunto Paull Kinsey Richard Ball Richard Carter I Richard Phillpes do hearby Assigne over all my Right and Title of the within mentioned Patten from me my Heires Executors Admin.rs or Assignes unto Henry Goodericke and Jn.o Efford theire heires Executors Admin.rs or Assignes in Witness whereof I have heareunto sett my hand this 15.th of Maye 1667 the mark of Signed & dell in y.e Richard R Phillips p.sence of W Palmer 1667 Tho norris Recorded February the 11.th 1750 21 Ex.d This Indenture made this sixth day of February in the Year of our Lord Seventeen hundred and fifty Between Samuel Galloway of Ann Arundel County Merchant Son and Heir and Executor of the last Will and Testament of John Galloway late of the said County Merchant deceased of the one part and William Murdock of Prince Georges County Gentleman of the other part Whereas the said John Galloway was Seised in Fee at the time of his Decease of a Tract of Land called the Adventure situate lying and being with the Appurtenances in Baltimore County and in and by his last Will & Testament in Writing by him duly made and Published required and Ordered his Executor (^to^ wit the said Samuel Galloway) as soon as conveniently might be after his Decease to make Sale and Dispose of two Tracts of Lands lying in Baltimore County called the Forrest and the Adventure to the best Advantage and for the highest Prices he could procure for the same and did by the said last Will and Testament Impower his said Executor (to wit the said Samuel Galloway) to make over and Convey each and every of the said Tracts of Land by one or more Deed or Deeds to such Person or Persons as should Purchase the same and the said Deed or Deeds to Acknowledge and to do every other Act or Acts thing or things as should be Necessary for the Conveying & Assuring the same as by the said recited Will (since duly proved by the said Samuel Galloway who hath taken upon himself the Burthen of the Execution thereof) relation being thereunto had may more fully appear And Whereas the said Samuel Galloway hath Agreed to and with the said William Murdock in Virtue of the Power given to him by the last Will and Testament aforesaid to make Sale and Dispose of one of the aforesaid Tracts of Land to wit the Tract of Land called the Adventure to him the said William Murdock in Fee for the Sum of four hundred Pounds Sterling the same being for the best Advantage and the highest price he the said Samuel Galloway can procure for the said Tract of Land Now this Indenture Witnesseth that he the said Samuel Galloway Executor of the last Will and Testament aforesaid in part performance and Execution of the said recited Trust (and) |
