102) Ex.d Know all Men by these Presents that I Benjamin Tasker as Agent of the Right Honourable Charles Lord Baltimore Lord Proprietary of the Province of Maryland have received of Doctor Charles Carroll of the City of Annapolis the Sum of three hundred & Ninety Pounds nine Shillings and Eleven Pence Sterling Money of Great Britain being the Ballance of an Account as Stated by Samuel Hyde Merchant of London Deceased and Inserted in his Letter to the said Charles Carroll Dated in London the twelfth Day of June Seventeen hundred forty and Six and which was Assigned heretofore by the said Samuel Hyde to the said Charles Lord Baltimore And I do as Age afs.d hereby Discharge him the said Charles Carroll from the said Ballance & any Demand on Account thereof and from any Demand the said Lord Baltimore has or may have against the said Charles Carroll for the Costs of any Suit commenced against him for the same As Witness My Hand and Seal this 31.st day of October 1750 Witnesses Present Benj.a Tasker Seal Josiah Wilson Elijah Stodder 1 1/2 Recorded Decem.r 5.th 1750 Ex.d This Indenture made the fourth Day of December in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and fifty Between John Jones of Frederick County Farmer of the one Part and John Dorsey Son of Caleb of Ann Arundel County Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth that the said John Jones for and in Consideration of the Sum of Seventy two Pounds Ten Shillings Sterling Money of Great Britain to him in Hand Paid by the said John Dorsey Son of Caleb the Receipt whereof is hereby Acknowledged and the said John Jones Doth thereof Acquit and Discharge the said John Dorsey his Ex.rs and and Adm.rs for Divers other Causes and Considerations him the said John Jones thereunto moving hath Given Granted Bargained and Sold and by these Presents Doth Give Grant Bargain and Sell to the said John Dorsey and his Heirs All the Tract or Parcell of Land called Mill Race lying now in Frederick County but formerly in Prince Georges County containing Ten Acres of Land more or less which said Tract of Land was Granted by Patent bearing Date the fourteenth Day of October in the Year of our Lord seventeen Hundred and forty Seven to the said John Jones and all the Right Estate Interest Benefit Claim and Demand of him the said John Jones of in and to the said Tract or Parcel of Land and of in and to every part and Parcel thereof and the Hill Houses and Improvements to the same belonging To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land & all and Singular other the Premisses herein before mentioned and intended to be hereby Granted with their and every of their Appurtenances unto the said John Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns for Ever to the only use and Behoof of the said John Dorsey his Heirs & Assigns and the said John Jones for himself and his Heirs the said Tract or Parcel of Land and all and Singular other the Premisses with their and every of their Appurtenances unto him the said John Dorsey his Heirs and Assigns against him the said John Jones his Heirs and Assigns and all Persons Claiming by from or under him or any of them shall and will Warrant and Defend In Witness whereof the Parties to these Presents have hereunto interchangeably set their Hands (and) |
