610) Ex.d Then Came before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court Richard Dorsey and as Register of the Prerogative Office for Probate of Wills &c took the Oath appointed by Act of Assembly Entituled An Act for amending the Staple of Tobacco 1/2 for preventing Frauds in his Majestys Customs and for the Limitation of Officers fees Sworn to the 31.st of July 1749 Recorded July 31.st 1749 before Jn.o Brice Ex.d This Indenture made this Tenth Day of August in the Year of our Lord Christ One Thousand seven Hundred and forty Nine Between Sidney George of Cecil County in the Province of Maryland Gentleman of the one Part and Joseph Wood of the same County Gentleman of the other Part Whereas the afs.d Sidney George in May Term last past did Commence Prosecute and being one Writ of Entry Sur Disseizin against the same Joseph Wood thereby Demanding All that Tract of Parcell of Plantable Land lying in Cecil County afs.d being part of a Tract of Land Originally Granted to Augustine Herman called the Three Bohemian Sisters the same part thereof which by the last Will and Testament of the same Augustine Herman was given and Devised to his Daughter Francina Grand Mother of the same Joseph Wood being the Uppermost Neck of the same Land on the East of the same Original Tract Running from Saint George's Cart Road mentioned in the same Will along the said Elk River Road Northerly till it meets with the same Cart Road again Containing Twelve Hundred and Sixty Acres of Land more or less with the Appurtenances thereunto belonging unto |
