       I hereby Certify that the above named Alexander Warfield son
       of Richard and Nicholas Gassaway son of Thomas are and at the
       time of taking the above Acknowledgment were two of his Lordships
       the Right Honble the Lord Propry's Justices of the Peace for Ann
       Arundell County in the Province of Maryland Lawfully Authorized
       and Qualifyed

Ex.d This Indenture made the first day of July in the
       Year of our Lord One Thousand seven Hundred and forty Nine
       Between Darby Ryan of Fredrick County Farmer of the
       one part and Edward Dorsey of Annapolis in Ann Arundell
       County Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth that the same
       Darby Ryan for and in Consideration of the Sum of twenty nine
       Pounds eight Shillings Current Money to him in hand paid by
       the said Edward Dorsey before the ensealing and delivery of
       these Presents the Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge
       and thereof and of every part and Parcell thereof doth fully clearly
       and absolutely Acquit exonerate and discharge the said Edward
       Dorsey his Executors and Administrators by these Presents
