Ex.d To all People unto whom these Presents shall Come
       William Reed of the Town of Aberdeen in that Part of Great
       Britain Called Scotland Merchant sends Greeting Whereas
       by Virtue of Certain Deeds duly Executed at Greenock in
       Scotland afs.d bearing Date on or about the thirteenth Day of
       March which was in the Year of our Lord One Thousand Seven
       hundred and Twenty Two and afterwards Proved and entered on
       the Records of the Province of Maryland according to Law
       the said William Reed is seized in fee simple or of some other
       Good Estate of Inheritance of a Certain Tract or Parcel of Land
       scituate lying and being on Chester River in the Province of
       Maryland af.d Called Reid Burne And Whereas the said
       William Reid by Virtue of the same Deeds is also seized in fee
       simple or of some other Good Estate of Inheritance of Two
       other Tracts or Parcells of Land the one Called New Seat
       and the other Reid's Point lying and being in Saint Mary's
       County in the Province of Maryland aforesaid as by the said Deeds
       Relation being thereunto had may more fully and at Large
       appear Now Know Yee that the said William Reed
       Hath nominated Constituted and appointed And by these Psents
       Doth ^nominate^ Constitute nominate and appoint M.r William Cumming
       of the City of Annapolis in the Province of Maryland afs.d
       Attorney at Law to be his True and Lawfull Attorney Irrevocable
       for him the said William Reed and in his name to enter upon
       and take Possession of the said Tracts of Land mentioned and
       Conveyed to him by the Deeds afs.d and every of them with their
