575) George Lewis for himself and his Heirs doth Covenant to and with the said Thomas Hammond and his Heirs by these Presents that the said George Lewis and his Heirs the hereby Bargained Land and Premisses with all and every of their Appurtenances unto the said Thomas Hammond his Heirs and Assigns for Ever against him the said George Lewis and his Heirs shall and will Warrant and for Ever Defend In Witness whereof the said George Lewis hath to this Indenture sett his hand and Seal the Day and Year above Written George Lewis Seal Signed Sealed and Deliv.d in the Presence of Will.m Elbert Richard Cook Came the within mentioned George Lewis before me the Subscriber One of his Lordships Provincial Justices and did acknowledge the within Deed of Sale to be his Act and Deed and the Land thereby Sold and Conveyed to be the Right of the within mentioned Thomas Hammond and his Heirs and Assigns for ever according to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in that case made and Provided acknowledged the 23.d Day of May 1749 before Jn.o Brice May 23.d 1749 Reced of Thomas Hammond one Shilling and three Pence Sterling for his Lordships use it being the Alienation fine on the within Land by Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships Agent and Receiver General 6 Recorded 23.d May 1749 Rich.d Dorsey Ex.d This Indenture made this eighth Day of May in the Year of our Lord Christ One Thousand seven hundred forty and nine Between Joseph Earle of Queen Annes County in the Province of Maryland Planter of the one part and Michael Earle of Cecil County in the same Province Gentleman of the other Part Witnesseth that the same (Joseph) |
