568) Land called the Caves and Lecfford aforesaid And Know Ye further that I the said Charles Carroll for and in Consideration of the same Love and Affection I bear to him the said Charles my Dear and well Beloved Son for divers other good Causes and Considerations as also for the Sum of five Shil Sterl Have Bargained Sold Transferred and made Over unto him the said Charles the Several Negroes following now being at the Plantations on the said Land to wit Jack, Major, Will, Jenn, Pompey, Tom, Sam, Harry, Sabina, Pris, Debb, Bett, Mary Nelly and Jacky in all Fifteen together with the Stock of Black Cattle Hoggs Horses Sheep Mares and Colts now on the said Lands and Plantations being and unto me belonging as also all the working Tools Carts Harness Houshold Goods and Furniture whatsoever To Have and to hold unto him the said Charles Carroll his Heirs Ex.rs Adm.rs and Assigns to his and their proper use and Behoof and to and for no other use meaning Intent or purpose Whatsoever In Witness whereof and the aforegoing Premisses I have hereunto set my hand & Seal this 17.th Day of April 1749 Sealed and Delivered C Carroll Seal in Presence of Tho.s Williamson Barton Rodgett On the Back of the aforegoing Deed of Gift was thus Endorsed Viz.t Received April 17.th 1749 the Sum of Ten Shill.s Sterl being the Considerations within mentioned P me C Carroll Witness present Tho.s Williamson Barton Rodgett 17.th Aprill 1749 Then Came before Robert Gordon Esq.r one of the Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland Charles Carroll of Annapolis Chyrurgeon and Acknowledged the within Deed and Lands and Premisses therein Granted & Convey'd (together) |
