554) I do hereby Certifie that a Bill of Exchange past to me by M.r Jacob Holland dated the 16 day of August 1739 drawn by the said Jacob on Mess.rs De Smith and Heathcoat for two Pounds ten Shillings Sterl was not paid by those 5 1/2 on whome the same was drawn but returned to me (Protested) by my Correspondent to whom I remmitted it Recorded March 15.th 1748/9 V Denton Ex.d This Indenture made the fourth Day of Novem.r in the Year of our Lord One Thousand seven hundred forty and Eight Between Henry Darnall of Ann Arundel County Merchant & Elizabeth his Wife of the one Part and Thomas Richard & Bennett Darnall Sons to the said Henry Darnall & Elizabeth his Wife of the other Part Witnesseth that the said Henry Darnall and Elizabeth for & in Consideration of the Natural Love and Affectione which they have and do bear towards their loving Children Thomas Darnall Richard Darnall and Bennett Darnall have given Granted Bargained Sold Aliened Enfeoffed & Confirmed & by these Presents Do Give Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoff & Confirm unto the said Thomas, Richard, & Bennett Darnall All that Tract or Parcell of Land called Golden Grove lying & being in Dorchester County Containing Fifteen hundred Acres be the same more or less together with all & Singular the Appurtenances thereunto belonging To have and to hold the said Tract or Parcel of Land to them the said Thomas Darnall Richard Darnall & Bennett Darnall to the use Intent and purposes herein after mentioned (That is to say) to the use and Behoof of the said Henry Darnall and Elizabeth his Wife during (the) |
