553) the Produce thereof towards Payment of the said Bill Which Answer not being Satisfactory to the said Requirant (and for as much as the time limitted for Payment of the said Bill since it's first presentation by me the said Notary is expired) Therefore I the said Notary at the request afs.d have and do hereby solemnly Protest against the Drawer of the said Bill and all others concerned for all change rechange Costs Damages and Interest already suffered and to be suffered for want of Payment of the said Bill thus done and Protested in london afs.d in the Presence of William Hordley and Samuel Tudman Witnesses Seal In Præmissorum fidem Will Tudman Not.s Pub.s 1740 I hereby Certifie that M.r Jacob Holland passed his Bills to me the the 8 Nov.r 1739 for thirty six Pounds two Shil.s on Mess.rs De Smith & Heathcoate w.ch Bills I remitted to M.r Sam.l Hyde but the said Bills was Protested & no part of them payed Witness my Hand this 21 Feb.ry 1748 Benj.a Tasker Whereas in the Year 1741 Sep.t 4.th Jacob Holland Senior did draw a set of Bills of Exchange Payable to M.r John Moales Merchant in Baltimore County for £ 12 9 7 Sterling Money of Great Britain on De Smith & Heathcot Merchants in London which Bill they Protested Now I Certifye that Jacob Holland has Clearly made full Satisfaction for said Bill and Damages as appears to me by the Books afs.d Moale and that he owes nothing to his Estate as I can find Cha Croxall March 1.st 1748/9 I don't find by my Acc.ts that ^I^ Ever had any Bill drawn by Jacob Holland on De Smith and Heathcoate March 10.th 1748/9 P Thomas |
