523) and Company of London Merchants of the other part Wheres William Hammond of Baltimore County Planter the Thirtieth Day of August in the Year One Thousand Seven hundred and forty five by one Writing Obligatory Bearing Date the same day and Year did acknowledge himself to owe and bind himself unto the said Elizabeth Bowley Executrix as af.d in the Sum of Two hundred and Ninety Pounds Sterling Money Conditioned for the Payment of One Hundred forty and five Pounds Sterling of England by good Bills of Exchange at or upon the first Day of January then next ensuing the Date thereof And Whereas the said William Hammond made Default in Payment of the said One Hundred and forty five Pounds Sterling as af.d by Reason whereof the ^s.d^ Elizabeth Bowley Exx ^as^ af.d Obtained Judgment on the said Writing Obligatory in the Provincial Court of the said Province And Whereas the said Elizabeth Bowley Exx as af.d did Issue or cause to be Issued out of the said Provincial Court on the said Judgm.t a Writ or Fieri facias and thereupon in Due form of Law caused to be made and Levyed Two Lotts in Baltimore Town Number fifty Nine and Number Sixty with all the Improvements thereon and the Flooring Plank then workt Appraised to Two Hundred and Ninety five Pounds Sterling Money whereof the said William Hammond after the making and Sealing the said Writing Obligatory af.d was Seized in his Demesne as of fee by the said Writ and the Return thereof relation being thereunto had may more fully and at large appear Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said Elizabeth Bowley Exx as af.d for and in Consideration of the Sum of Two Hundred and Ninety five Pounds (Sterling) |
