       On the Back of the aforegoing Mortgage was thus Endorsed Viz.t
       Received of Christopher Lowndes the Sum of Twenty five Pounds
       fourteen Shillings Currency and Nine Pounds Nine Shillings
       Sterling being the Consideration Money within mentioned this 8.th

       Came Before me the Subscriber One of his Lordships Justices of
       the Provincial Court the within named John Chalmers and acknowledged
       the within Instrument of Writing as his Act and Deed and
       the Lands and Premisses therein mentioned to be the Right and
       Estate of the within mentioned Christopher Lowndes and his
       Heirs according to the Intent and Meaning of the within Deed
       Agreeable to the Directions of the Act of Assembly in that Case
       made and Provided Acknowledged before me this 8.th Nov.r 1748

Ex.d To all to whom these Presents shall come I William Benn Esq.r
       Lord Mayor of the City of London In Pursuance of an Act of
       Parliament made and Passed in the fifth year of the Reign of our
       Sovereign Lord King George the Second Intituled an Act for the more
       easy Recovery of Debts in his Majesty's Plantations and
       Colonies in America Do hereby Certifie that on the day of the
       Date hereof Personally came and appeared before me John
       Philpot and John Hutchinson of London Merch.ts and
       Copartners and Abraham Dias Clerk or Bookkeeper to the
       said John Philpot and John Hutchinson being Persons well
       known and Worthy of good Credit and by Solemn Oath which
       they then took before me upon the Holy Evangelists of Almighty
       God Did Solemnly and sincerely declare Testifye and depose
       to be True the Several matters and things mentioned and
