X.d This Indenture made the Eighth day of November in the year of
       our Lord One Thousand Seven Hundred and Forty Eight Between
       John Chalmers of Ann Arundell County Baker of the One part and
       Christopher Lowndes of Prince Georges County Merchant of the other
       Part Witnesseth that the said John Chalmers for and in Consideration
       of the Sums of Twenty five Pounds four Shillings Current Money
       and Nine Pounds Nine Shillings Sterling Money of Great
       Britain to him in hand paid by the said Christopher Lowndes the
       Receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge Hath Granted Bargained
       and Sold Aliened Enfeoffed and Confirmed and by these Presents
       doth Grant Bargain Sell Alien Enfeoffe and Confirm unto the said
       Christopher Lowndes and his Heirs all the Tract or Parcell of
       Land called Bears Den containing One Hundred Acres lying
       and being in Prince Georges County which said Tract of Land
       was Granted to the said John Chalmers by Patent Bearing date
       the Tenth Day of August Seventeen Hundred and forty four as by
       the said Patent Reference ^being^ thereunto being had may more fully
       appear and all and Singular the Houses Buildings and
       Improvements thereon or to the same Belonging and also the
       Reversion and Reversions Remainder and Remainders Right Estate
       Interest Claim and Demand Whatsoever of him the said John
       Chalmers of in and to all and Singular the said Premisses and of in
       and to every part and Parcell of them To have and to hold the
       said Land and all and Singular other the Premisses herein
       before mentioned and Intended to be hereby Granted with their
