          At the foot of the aforegoing Deed was thus Written Viz.t
       Received the day and year first in the annexed Deed mentioned
       of and from the within named George Maxwell the Sum of
       One hundred and Fifty ^four^ Pounds Sterling in full for
       Consideration Money in the Deed hereto annexed mentioned
       to be by him paid to me

       July 27.th 1748 Maryland Charles County fs Then came
       before me the Subscriber one of his Lordships Justices of
       the Provincial Court the Several Parties mentioned in the
       Deed hereto annexed who Severally Delivered and acknowledged
       the same as their Act and Deed for the uses
       Intents and Purposes therein mentioned according to Law
       at the same time also appeared Margaret Greenfield
       Wife of the said Henelm Trueman Greenfield who being
       Privately and apart from her said husband by me
       Examined Confessed she made her acknowledgment to
       the annexed Deed freely Willingly and of her own accord
       without being forced or Compelled thereto by her said
       Husband or ^for^ fear of his Displeasure Taken and acknowledged
       before me this twenty Seventh day of July in the year
20 1/2 of our Lord One Thousand Seven hundred and forty eight
