478) Written Signed Sealed and Delivered C Carroll Seal in the presence of Cha Carroll John Hen.ry Carroll On the Back of aforegoing Deed was thus Endorsed Viz.t August the Ninth 1748 Then Came the within named Charles Carroll before me one of his Lordships Justices of the Provincial Court of Maryland and Acknowledged the within Instrument of Writing to be his Act and Deed and the Land and Premisses therein Contained to be the Right and Estate of the within named Nicholas Maccubbin his Heirs and Assigns forever according to the True Intent and meaning of the same Deed & the Act of Assembly in that Case made and Provided W.m Rogers Rece.d the 8.th of August 1748 the sum five Shilling Sterling being the Consideration within mentioned of Nicholas Maccubbin £ 0 5 0 Ster Witness Cha Carroll John Henr.y Carroll Received (August the 24.th 1748) of M.r Nicholas Maccubbin Two Pounds Eighteen Shillings and Eleven pence Sterling for his Lordships use (it being the Alienation fine on the within mentioned Lands) by Virtue of a Commission from Benjamin Tasker Esq.r his said Lordships 8 Agent and Receiver General Rich.d Dorsey Recorded August the 29.th 1748 Ex.d Vide Deed to which the following Receit belongs Recorded heretofore in this Book folio 444 Received of Benedict Calvert Esq.r one Pound fourteen Shillings and Eleven pence Sterling for his Lordships use (it being the Alienation fine on the within mentioned Lands, Supposing the Tract to Contain Eight Hundred and (seventy) |
